Could do so much better ..

I was really excited to have found Kobe Jones, it looked fabulous. On arrival I asked for G&T for my wife and I, I asked if could have the tonic separately (because we don't want to drown the gin) - this is a first, they brought a glass full of ice/tonic and the gin in a shot glass. Anyway -... read more

The staff are pushy on bottled water, leave everything on the table. No wine service and the food is primarily deep fried bland with bad presentation. Avoid.

My husband and I were looking forward to the Japanese experience that our son and daughter had purchased for us for Christmas. We are travelling to Japan in March and so this was to be our taste of Japanese cuisine before we went. We were given a Lobster degustation meal (at a very expensive price) which consisted of 10 courses.... More

Vary ordinary service food was just ok . Staff were inexperienced and didn't speak English well enough to understand you. They kept disappearing. Staff and chef Wouldn't accommodate in any way with food requests. Drinks took forever . Wouldn't recommend or ever return

The service at this restaurant was horrible. Having made a reservation for 5 on Australia Day, we arrived on time and happened to see that the restaurant was quiet empty. We were asked by the manager (? the tall man with blue shirt) to wait around 5 minutes at the front door. This comes down to either poor communication or... More

We bought a dinner deal for Kobe Jones from LivingSocial overlooking the Darling Harbour Water, considering its a pretty good deal, I didnt have high hopes thinking we would just get basic foods, but I surely was wrong! it was impressive, delicious and service was great too. We had a wonderful dining experience.

Very disappointed with food and services. We visited there for my husband's birthday with my father-in-low who are visiting us from overseas. Three of us ordered different course. I ordered "Kobe", which includes seafood and beef. My husband ordered "Meat Lovers", which includes wagyu and my father-in-low ordered "Barra and Wagyu", which includes barramundi and wagyu. We have to wait... More

Last night four of us had an evening meal , lobster set menu . The food was too much fusion mix that does not impress . Most of the food was overcooked and not hot enough , I understand that it was a busy Friday night but this is not an excuse for a top quality restaurant . The wine... More

OK, I'll admit we ate here via a Groupon certificate but that's no reason for the lack of service and poor quality food we received. But first the good news. The venue is modern with a cool vibe and spectacular view over Darling Harbour. Booking was troublefree and reception/seating was fine. But that's where things started to go downhill. For... More

Staying in Darling Harbour

Neighborhood Profile
Darling Harbour
The original docklands of Darling Harbour have been transformed into a tourist mecca with entertainment for the whole family. Cockle Bay Wharf offers dining options from budget to upscale and million dollar views of the harbour. Young crowds gather on weekends for nightlife that ranges from salsa clubs to DJ's. Families can visit the Chinese Garden of Friendship or the Sydney Aquarium, one of the largest in the world. The Australian National Maritime Museum and the IMAX theatre are also popular attractions. The Harbourside Shopping Centre is a site unto itself, with hundreds of shops, restaurants and bars. On Saturdays in the summer, the city puts on a spectacular fireworks show along the harbour's shore and there are plenty of other free events during the year - Darling Harbour Fiesta, VIVID’s light installations and the Sydney Festival, just to name a few.
