Went to the Oyster Bar , Circular Quay, Sydney, Cove and booked a table for 2pm and gave them a mobile number. Walked in on time to be told they had given the table to someone else and asked us to sit outside in the cold to wait for that table. They simply did not care about our booking, did... More

While not cheap, this restaurant is a fabulous place to eat oysters, drink sparkling wine and watch what happens on the harbour. But go on a nice warm sunny day, it can get very breezy down there on the harbours edge.

i ate here while i was waiting for my room to be ready and the breakfast menu was still going so i had the breakfast bruschetta. i had a view of the sydney harbour bridge in the sun, although the heaters were still on. service was friendly and efficient and the food came out fast and was delicious.

Lovely meal, good company and great food. What more could you ask for. The menu offered a great selection to suit all tastes, and the view - well I don't think you ever get sick of the fantastic view. From the friendly welcome upon arrival to the end of our meal, the service was perfect. May be a bit pricey,... More

If I was writing about the view only, the rating would be awesome! The food and service really let this place down. The oysters were ok, but the barramundi was tasteless, and over priced. The service was terrible, and obviously the waiters were not communicating. I was approached by two different waiters only for them to then exchange words about... More

In Sydney for business and took the afternoon to explore. Ended up here for a beer and some shellfish. Had a combination platter which was all excellent: huge mussels, yabbies (small crabs), rather massive prawns, crab and some oysters. It's a bit pricier I think by U.S. standards, but the sun was warm, the harbor busy, the local beer cold.... More

The location must be the main draw to Sydney Cove Oyster Bar. I can't imagine many people come here just for oysters, although they were rather tasty, especially the Sydney Rock variety, which were from Wallies Lake, NSW. I;m glad they informed about where they were from as the Sydney Rocks have suffered lately due to pollution. I digress. There;s... More
