We thought we would check out the various restaurants along Circular Quay for breakfast. I like the location of this one as it's right on the edge of the quayside so the view across is unimpaired which adds to having breakfast right by the water watching all the boats come and go. We ordered scrambled eggs on toast with tomatoes... More

are offered here near the opera house. We had dinner before the show and it was a good choice. The food was good - nothing astonishing but solid sea food. The prices are ok given the location. Staff was friendly and attentive. I would go there again if I would be around.

We called in at late lunchtime and had no trouble getting a waterfront seat although the place was moderately busy. The seafood platter had a good mix of contents all very fresh. This together with garlic bread and rocket, pear, parmesan salad made a very tasty lunch. Good wine list and not too pricey. Service was good, attentive without being... More

Went to the Cove Oyster Bar for dinner yesterday. Had to book as it's a busy location. Booked online but also called them. Got positive responses on both. Didn't get a table next to the water's edge, but that's difficult for more than 2 people. Service good, food very good, location very good, cost ok for Sydney.

One of my pet hates are restaurants that serve foul tasting muck from a jar and call it hollandaise sauce. It doesn't look like hollandaise sauce and it doesn't taste like hollandaise. In fact it tastes awful. Any cook who can't tell the difference between something that tastes good and something that tastes awful shouldn't be entrusted with providing food... More

A definite for all visitors to Sydney is lunch/dinner overlooking Sydney Harbour and the iconic bridge. No reservations taken on a Saturday night between 5.30-8 which is shame as we were due to see Billy Connolly at the Opera House and would have liked the security of a booking. Saying that we only waited 10 minutes and the waitress did... More

Ate here to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday. Our friend who is a local in Sydney recommended this place as a scenic spot to spend a birthday dinner. It is right on the water in Circular Quay with impressive views of the Harbor Bridge. It was a warm summer day and our reservation was for sunset so it was a... More

Had an hour to spare before catching the train back to the airport and had been craving oysters. Arrived just before midday, was seated right on the water with a perfect view of the harbour. Ordered a glass of prosecco as still had 10 minutes before the kitchen opened. Waitress came back promptly to take my order and I was... More
