My husband and I came here on a date and were not disappointed. We ordered mixed oysters for entree, they were beautiful. I had the prawn linguine for my main and my husband the sirloin steak. Both meals were fabulous. The view, spectacular! The atmosphere/setting was intimate and romantic, dimmed lighting, candles on the table and of course the sway... More

The Oysters are great, the view is the best, its casual and great atmosphere especially if there is a cruise ship in port.

There are plenty of restaurants along the walk between the Circular Quay and the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Cover Oyster Bar is the best of the the lot. I have to admit we didn't have oysters. (Try as I might I just can't enjoy them.) Instead we had appetizers and a couple of beers. And then just watched the... More

We absolutely loved the Oyster Bar - went on a balmy late afternoon and had fantastic service which was very unobtrusive although they totally participated when we included them! For 3 we started with natural oysters and scallops and then had the prawns in a spicy sauce and mussels. Oh, and gorgeous garlic bread to soak up the juices! Everything... More

Yes, the view is stunning, it shows Sydney at its best. Sitting by the Opera House looking full on at the Harbour Bridge doesn't get any better. BUT the food is terrible brought out by back packers with little knowledge. I wondered why my wife ordered a steak in a seafood restaurant but when I saw the thin piece of... More

As a Sydney local we have visited the Oyster Bar many times over the years. Everything has really improved the last 12 months and we were blown away by the great service on a recent loooong lunch. We were welcomed and looked after by several staff, there was no rush to move us on as they recognised it was a... More

There are several restaurants along the quay and all looked good. This one stood out though. We asked for a table along the waterfront and the waitress managed to accommodate our request. The nightime backdrop was amazing. The food was delicious. It ranked amongst the best we have had. The waitress was delightful and it was reasonably priced. We would... More

A warm Saturday evening and we luckily scored a 6pm booking whilst being asked to vacate by 8pm. It seems s good deal. Sydney is such a beautiful city, and eating on the harbour precinct is an amazing experience. Such a busy place, so dining is really a people watch! We enjoyed fresh barramundi and a crisp salad, accompanied by... More
