Nice restaurant in the city center of Sydney. A huge selection of pancakes and also other food like seafood and steaks. Prices are ok. I would come back!

Have fond memories of Pancakes on The Rocks from years ago so decided to return for breakfast with teen who goes here regularly with friends. The service was friendly and efficient but the food was truly awful. I could only manage a few mouthfuls of the scrambled eggs and the pancakes were inedible. Even teen did not enjoy the food... The pancakes were decent. They had some interesting toppings. The service was just ok - the server was inattentive and appeared to be talking to friends at another table for a majority of our visit. Nothing wrong with the place but nothing spectacular either. Full disclosure my husband were still suffering from jet leg when we had dinner here and... More

Don't mind this place but don't go hungry you'd be chewing your arm off before you got seated, then the food usually comes out about 30 mins after you'd ordered and then your drinks 10mins later.

For breakfast we had the Up North (egg, sausage, two large pancakes, grilled banana and pineapple); it was delicious. We especially liked the "well" in each pancake for the butter. We decided to go back for dinner another night where we had the Mexicana and Thai Chicken crepes, both of which were flavourful and left us happy. Don't be turned... More

I and my wife visited the pancakes on the Rocks where we'd heard the best place for pancake. We ate the pancake with banana and chicken & bacon pizza. They were very tasty! Especially, pancake is very soft and sweaty. I think it has value for tasting. Pizza was 17.95 AUD and pancake was about 15 AUD.

If you decided to open a restaurant wouldn't you offer the highest quality food? Well, pancakes has done just what many restaurants in Sydney tend to do. I understand why people go to these restaurants, it's because there's nothing better so they put up with poor food.

I don't know why we did it. It could have been that it looked busy and busy is good, yeah? It's not our kind if place - too plasticky and get em in get em out. I should have looked on here first... But then again, at 4+ stars I would have been misled. The food was so underwhelming it... More
