Fluffy Pancakes

Long queue when we were there about 2.30pm, but it move fast. Probably because they had many seating (double floor). Got our seat about 20 mins ish. Their plain pancakes were nice and fluffy, goes very well mix with cream or ice-cream and maple syrup. Was surprise that they priced their food at... read more

Life savers. I like how early they are ready to serve you. We arrived early at 9am and we were greeted with an energetic wait-team that totally welcomed us. Not your home-made type of pancakes or the usual toast. I liked how my stomach was filled up. Must Try.

Visited here with family when we needed a meal quite late at night and nothing else was open around the CBD. Ordered between us fish and chips and a couple of pancake meals, and the meals were solid and in reasonable volume, but certainly not outstanding. However, the prices here are quite competitive (fish and chips was $20 from memory),... More

Don't go here for good pancakes. It's a fast food tourist trap serving stodgy mounds of sugar. We left half of ours and still feel kind of ill 2 hours later. Maybe go if you've had a serious illness and need to pile on calories quickly. Or if you want to silence your children, who will probably love it. Despite... More

This place has awful service. I'm pretty sure the owner would sack some of the waiters if he knew how they were ruining his business. Came here with my gf at 9:30 and the waitress (who was some short, chubby (border line fat) Asian woman in her mid twenties) walked up to us as we were waiting to be seated.... More

Me and my partner had a lunch here and was disappointed with the service and the quality of the food. I was looking forward to trying out their pancakes since i have tried their branch in parramatta area. I wouldn't recommend this.

In our constant search for American style pancakes we were looking forward to trying Pancakes on the Rocks on a recent visit to Sydney. We were sadly disappointed. Groups were kept waiting to be seated even though the restaurant wasn't busy. The orders were mixed up, the drinks were mixed up, the pre-mix coke was undrinkable and we were told... More

I first went to Pancakes in 1979! After many years away, we took grandkids there and it was fantastic. We had the all-day breakfast (Up North), kids of course had choc and banana (Butterfly). Absolutely great and iced coffee one of the best you'll find. Great staff but they do get busy and you have to queue sometimes.

Good service, ambience and nice food and a reasonable price. Sometimes the wait is massive particularly during lunch times but outside peak hours it's great with no wait. I;ve tried the ribs and various pancakes. Always good, generous portions.

Pork ribs are good. Sweet pancakes portion is amazingly huge. I still feel something is missing for savoury pancakes

Staying in The Rocks

Neighborhood Profile
The Rocks
The first residents of the Rocks were convicts and sailors from the old nation. As the oldest neighborhood in the city, the area's cobblestone streets host more than 100 heritage sites and buildings, including the oldest house in Sydney, Camden Cottage, which was built in 1816. Taste a “midi “ or a “schooner” of beer and dine “al fresco” on the waterfront at some of the oldest pubs in Sydney. The weekend markets at the Rocks are where you can find local artists' hand-made souvenirs, organic food and designer jewelry in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. To enjoy some of the best Australian and international contemporary art, the MCA museum is open every day and select evenings. At the end of a long day of sightseeing, be sure to save energy to dance the night away at the area's many late night entertainment venues.
