Myself and my partner have been to Pancakes on the Rocks in The Rocks a number of times and have loved it. However, on Australia day, we took people who are visiting from overseas to the restaurant at Harbourside in Darling Harbour to show how awesome the food was and from start to finish we were utterly disappointed by everything... Yes, it is a must-do when visiting Sydney. Set in a lovely old building on the Rocks. We delved into the extensive menu and stuffed ourselves silly. Not much choice beyond pancakes and the kid's menu was a little disappointing. I wouldn't order the chocolate pancakes again, but the savoury pancakes were delicious.

Seriously overated as the rave reviews set up the expectations to the point that when I found the pancakes just average the disappointment set in. Also the long queue will not be condusive for anyone who is hungry and lack of patient to wait for their food.

I had Chocolate Jewels and it... More

This restaurant is your average family diner but the menu is huge and offers pancakes (which are yummy) of every possibility. We went two days in a row!

Lovely pizza and pancakes! More cafe style but busy and friendly atmosphere. Right near circular quay but no view etc. Would recommend!

We visited here at a quiet time so maybe our experience was better than many, because apparently it does get very busy. We came for breakfast and were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and efficient, the food excellent - quality and quantity. Indeed the quantity was enough to fuel us up for the whole day. I would highly recommend... More
