Definitely worth every dollar. I discovered this place only recently and have been here twice with my work colleagues for work lunch. It's quiet so we can carry a conversation. The lunch boxes are of good quantity and quality. I had a main sashimi by myself ($22 for 15 good pieces). Very fresh but next time I'll share as it... More

They have a fairly small menu. But the dishes we ordered were cooked to perfection. I ordered the grilled eel for my main, and have to say it's was fantastic! I demolished the main in no time. It's a small cozy restaurant and pretty family friendly. If you are in the area and need a place to eat, then give... More

Sydney winter nite getting cold so wanted warm food. Found Nakashima abt 300m from Shangrila hotel or Four Seasons hotel. Had hot nabeyaki udon n small warm sake for AUD 17. Japanese service staff so speak English slowly. Authentic Japanese dish not fusion ones.

Another regular Sydney haunt for me - although you really do need to make a booking a few days in advance. The food here is usually great and simple. Staff are prompt and the sake flows well! On my last visit though I ordered the 15 piece sushi platter and found that it really wasn't as fresh as I recall.... More

Had dinner here while on vacation from the U.S. The Nigiri and Teriyaki were ok, and most of our other dishes were fine as well. This is casual style Japanese, there's very little pretension or attitude at this restaurant. It's tucked down a quiet alley off the beaten path. They were friendly and welcoming to my 13 year old son.... More

Awesome Soft Shell Crab Salada, it was huge and for that reason, hard to finish however. It was fresh and tasted great. Nice cozy and intimate location.

I walked past this place when I was out walking early in the morning and as I love Japanese decided to come back for dinner. I'm glad I did as it was well worth it. I arrived around 6.30pm, in time to benefit from the free drink with meal (between 6 and 7pm, minimum purchase $15). I had miso soup,... More

If you want an easy but really nice authentic Japanese meal, this is the place. We go there every week and love it.

Never seen such awful sushis, with grease and impossible to eat in one piece. The terrasse was very small and noisy. I definitely don't recommend...
