We booked here due to the location and high Tripadvisor rating. Service was excellent but most importantly the food was magnificent.

Hunting out a restaurant after walking around the Rocks area in the evening we stumbled upon this little gem. Although it stated 6pm start they were happy to have us at 5.45 and we were quickly seated and sorted with drinks - all a reasonable price and range. Lovely fresh roll was delivered to enjoy and of course we chose... More

Third time eating here, since the 1990s - small restaurant with 'intimate' (close tables) seating and more upstairs. This time we had the early bird special - must be seated by 6.45pm and out by 7.45pm - a choice of one entree and one main from four selections on the main menu, plus either a glass of wine or a... Had the Early Bird special, with the calamari (a bit of a small portion, and kind of hard) and the salmon (literally one of the best meals ever, with a great salad, orange and cheese combination as well). Service was very attentive, and the staff were quite fit as well! Highly recommend.

The concierge at my hotel, the Sydney Harbour Marriott at Circular Quay suggested Fist At The Rocks. What a wonderful recommendation. The restaurant is cosy & intimate. The service is excellent.... Delicious, innovative fresh local fish. Knowledgeable staff. Good wine list. Reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Small local restaurant feel. Outside seating was an added bonus. Suggest having a reservation.

one of the best seafood platter we have had. A cosy small restaurant with only a few tables so you must book in advance. Staff was excellent, they told what kind of food and where it came from

This was the second time we have dined here and again it is brilliant. Atmosphere is great and service exceptional. BYO if you prefer with reasonable charge. The bug tails and scallops for entree was superb. The whole John Dory was one of the best seafood meals my wife has had. Great choice of deserts and did not disappoint. Would... More
