Quite coincidently picked fish at the rocks. Had lobster, which requires booking as food is fresh daily. Accompanied by mussels, scallops and calamari. Quite tasteful. Loved the venue, you could feel soul of oldest suburb of sydney. Old boats in the frames cloudy evening and most importantly SHE said yes.

I love seafood, especially crustacean, so this restaurant, a short stride from my hotel, was a must. And I was not disappointed. I had the Crustacean Platter, with a bottle of chardonnay wine recommended by my server, and it really was a treat. It is not in the middle of the main tourist areas, but the fact that it was... We stumbled on this unpretentious restaurant while exploring the neighbourhood. As we were hungry, we stopped to eat. Wow! What a surprise! We each ordered something different and it was all good. And I am not even a seafood lover (but I could become one after this). We found an excuse to return to Sydney and Australia . So so... More

The food is beyond amazing, and the staff obviously enjoy their job. Take the staff suggestion and go with the Barramundi, which is the restaurant classic.

The Marriott concierge claimed this was were the locals went. The early bird specials were just perfect for us with 3 courses and the wine for $45. The don't open until 6, so it's not really very early by American standards. We liked it SO much we went back the last night we were in town. I started with the... More

The meals here are excellent. Staff is condescending. They're staff is definitely geared to serving people they feel are going to drop big bucks. There's a very perceptible condescending attitude in the staff. But boy, I noticed how friendly and upbeat they were when a group came in and ordered from mineral water instead of tap and then purchased overpriced... More

I emailed Fish before leaving USA and they were kind enough to confirm their seasonal menus would still include Morton Bay Bugs at the time of our visit. We had them on our first visit 10 years earlier. We went twice- once each end of our trip. First trip we remembered to be sure there were no bell peppers (allergic)... More

The title says it all - and indeed it is one of the best ever. The menu and daily specials are comprehensive enough to ensure everyone will find something to their taste, the produce used is obviously top quality and fresh, and there is the option to either select from a good wine menu or bring your own. The chef(s)... More

Recommended by our motel in the CBD as we are both seafood fanatics, we were surprised and delighted by this find. Small, intimate and quiet (although full the night we went), the food and service were both excellent. Comprehensive wine list. Suggest getting a taxi if you are staying near Circular Quay -the walk up the hill is a bit... More

After several days of fine dining, we wanted something more casual but still quality. This delivers in spades. The seafood spiders as a special entree were crunchy and full of flavour. The whole baked snapper on the specials board was perfectly cooked and presented. An inexpensive wine list but with enough high end goodies to keep everyone interested. Seafood is... More
