We had dinner here one evening during a visit to Sydney and thought it was going to be really authentic Italian food. It was anything but. I thought the service was very basic, the waitress didn't really seem to care, the water brought to our table was just tap water. We ordered a meat lasagne and a vegetarian lasagne which... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant in the Rocks thinking it looked good. It was awful...service was bad, very slow. Bright fluorescent lights shunning right in our eyes, waited forever for our wine (food was delivered first)....just not fine dining in the least. Waitresses were very untrained and didnt even acknowledge requests....saw blatant eye rolls to one another when we requested... More

Fantastic wait staff coupled with an equally fantastic yet simple menu all in historic surrounds. I love when the wait staff are sufficiently attentive yet not hovering. I love when the menu is not daunting. I love when the atmosphere is just right on a cool evening in Sydney and you get to sit outside in the historic Rocks area... More

I have been dining at Caminetto's now for more than 10 years and I never cease to enjoy the whole dining experience with them. Great bruschetta, pizza (mexicana), and a wonderful fettucini pasta, followed by a delicious cheesecake. Another memorable occasion and I look forward to my next visit.

I staid at a hotel on The Rocks for two days and went twice to the Caminetto, as I really liked the casual & relaxed atmosphere, the simple & very tasty Italian food and the good wine.

Enjoyed a simple, tasty well priced meal and a glass or two of vino. We enjoyed the live music and envied the tasty looking pizza that the next table had ordered. Pretty good.

This hidden little gem was a short walk away from our hotel and we were instantly drawn to the little outside courtyard area as there were a duo of men singing and one on the guitar and the other singing while playing a large harp. Beautiful and very romantic. The food was fresh (hubby had Rock Oysters with a squeeze... More

We shared a couple of pizzas, bruschetta and a caraffe of house red wine & a couple of beers - 4 people $110.00. The pizza was uncomplicated and really nice thin crispy base. The atmosphere was what made it with two guys singing "That's A-Moree" and we all joined in. We were seated inside, a tiny room, crammed in but... More
