My seafood spaghetti was good, especially the prawns. The place was full and people were queuing early on. Despite this, overall it was disappointing. The service was not very good and staff were not very helpful when asked to expand on the menu. On balance our experience was below average.

We found this place by chance whilst scouring The Rocks area for somewhere to eat that didn't require a second mortgage to be taken out. We sat outside next to the old sandstone rock walls and enjoyed a quite wonderful meal of simple but very well cooked Italian food. I would definitely look to eat there again if we are... More

We stumbled upon this restaurant whilst walking the markets and all 6 of us were very glad we did. The food is fantastic and the service was friendly and very efficient. The atmosphere is great with live music and cozy seating area. We would highly recommend this restaurant to all.

This is a highly tourist driven area of Sydney so expectations are a bit low. However, this is a nice little place where the pizza was well done and the house red was reasonable at not too outrageous a price. We sat outside with the live music a little way away. The service was efficient if not overly friendly. Pity... More

We found Caminetto's by default b/c almost everywhere else had stopped serving food at 9PM on a Saturday night. What we found though was so much more. The atmosphere really sells this place! You feel like you are leaving the touristy area of The Rocks and escaping into a little back street in Italy. There was a violinist and harpest... More

A restaurant that gets by on its location. Prices are highish and the food isn't good enough. BBQ octopus was rubbery and had no hint of BBQ or indeed any taste of any kind. King prawns marinated in herbs and balsamic could have been marinated in water for all the taste that imparted. They were (over)cooked and presented entirely whole,... More

We have been here twice as a family and find it a relaxing atmosphere with children. It was a hot day in Sydney and it was nice cool under their umbrellas. I have always enjoyed our food here. We ordered pizza and bruschetta and meals arrived in a reasonable time. However the wine by the glass was terrible which is... More

We went to Caminetto's because of the location in The Rocks and, yes, it is a nice location (not with a view, but just that it was in The Rocks). THe outdoor seating area has a nice feel. There were some men playing music which added to the ambiance. I thought the food was just okay. For the price we... More

We went here looking for something different than pub food. The outdoor cafe atmosphere was ok. We both ordered pasta dishes and also a calamari starter. No, you won't think you're in Italy, but the meal was pretty good, and the service was very good. For the area, the price was fair.
