The Glitz is Gone

I've stopped in there about a dozen times in the last five years. It is a place that used to be exciting and had wonderful food. I believe it only fair to say that maybe the owner managers should sell out and retire. The location next to the Marriott is ideal. The alley is quaint. The room is warm... read more

My wife & I are 63 and we went to Alfredo's on the advice of the Marriott hotel, right next door. The place is quaint, the pasta home made. They had a piano player who visited the tables, chatted a bit and then played music upon request. Not loud, perfect for the atmosphere. The place was hot and humid, like... More

A group of 18 of us turned up at 7:00pm on a Friday night without a reservation. The staff were extremely accommodating and put together a long table for our group. The menu was very extensive with a wide choice of authentic Italian dishes. I had a ravioli dish that was I think the most amazing meal I have ever... More

Alfredo is set in a little lane way, and is very quaint inside. It could be in Italy with its style. The meal was quite yummy. We both had homemade pasta which was very well done, but it just lacked that flavour hit we were both expecting. Not the usual herbs and spices usually accompanying Italian food. The wine list... First the pianoplayer (gess he is about 80, or older) was superb! The service was perfect (they even listend to my bad italian language:-)).... More

This is a lovely little Italian restaurant in a beautiful old building. The manager was great and really friendly, and the whole place has a very authentic feel. They recommended some lovely dishes and the service was great, without the place feeling pompous or like you had to be a high class diner to eat there. Having a pianist playing... More

Has to be one of the best in Sydney. Tucked away this quaint little Restaurant is old school with staff that appear to have been there since it opened 20 years ago. Great authentic food with a great specials list. The wine list is small but excellent.

"DO NOT GO TO THIS RESTAURANT"....I ordered a dozen oysters Kilpatrick and when they arrived I realised that they were CANNED OYSTERS ( unbelievable ) place in reused oyster shells....the manager was pompas and rude.....and the menu overpriced. When I first walked in this place the manager looked me up and down. If my children and I weren't so hungry... More

Ate here on recommendation of Marriott concierge. Really liked it. We were in a hurry and the service and attitude were very good. Also the food was very good. We split a lasagna special that was really good; as good as I've ever eaten. Prices were reasonable give the area and type of restaurant. Would definitely go back!

Quaint New York Style Restaurant, with great Italian food. Excellent wine list, staff always pleasant and the piano player sets the evening off well. The food is authentic Italian and the veal and the fish is is always fresh and tender. I must like it I keep on going back year after year. Excellent for Business Functions
