I give this a 4 star rating because the owner was very sensitive to guest complaints and prepared to acknowledge a badly prepared dish. This is off a small square on Bridge Street, on a little back lane. As we entered an elderly gentleman sat playing songs from old musicals on an old piano, so we knew this wasn't going... More

I met a couple of friends for dinner at Alfredo recently and was taken aback by the attitude of possibly the same waiter that bluebull79 called Prince Emanuel. He looked visibly impatient as he waited for us to make our choices from the menu and completely lost interest when we were not quick enough for him. The food while good,... More

This restaurant offers an authentic Italian menu. It is laced with music from the piano player - a lovely character who also takes requests. Alfredo himself has that Italian 'simpatico'. The staff are friendly, even if they are not Italian … all is great except … well, here is our story. We arrived as per reservation. Seating is set up... More

Have been here twice, both times because all other restaurants that I walked into were full. The food at Alfredo is adequate, but not great. If you are tired of walking into full restaurants, you can be confident that you can go to Alfredo's, find an open table, and get an adequate/mediocre meal.

Dined with a large group and we had not booked. The service was good and the food very good. Great atmosphere with a piano playing gently in the background. The profiteroles are a perfect end to the meal.

I was troubled by the reviews of this restaurant but my wife and I thought it deserved a chance. We are so glad we did. The food was outstanding! Okay the service left a little to be desired but we could not fault the endeavour. The maître de was very attentive and chose a great Italian wine to compliment our... More

Friends said this is a great place for Italian food. They were wrong. Whilst the building is old and historical (according to the story in the menu) that is not enough to make a good experience. We arrived early (around 6.15 p.m.) for a nice Italian meal. We found the food less than average, not served hot, and the service... More

More that his food and that 'an identity now descriminante in the restaurant world, Unfortunately, since the fish has no smell Mediterranean in Australia, let alone from Alfredo that although fresh fish will not be able to reach the true flavors because it does not have a manual Italian cuisine but only in people of other culture gastronome, and only... I had been recommended Alfredo's by a close friend and as a Sydney local decided to give it a try with my young family. I wandered in at lunch-time to book a table for that evening, I should have known what was coming when it took 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me (there was perhaps 15 people in the... More
