Seated and served with efficiency, complementary Chinese tea welcome on a hot summer afternoon. Ordered the duck, a tasty half duck and a huge plate of Pak Choy as a side dish, and steamed rice. Large portions, delicious duck, authentic Chinese decor and atmosphere. We had 4 waiters, one brought the tea, one took the order, one brought the food,... More

Just like old school Chinese restaurants from years gone by. Food amazing and plentiful. Service left a bit to be desired, forgetting drink orders, plonking orders anywhere on the table and reaching across in front of you. We were there for the atmosphere & food and were not let down. The ducks hanging in the window, the chefs clearly visible... More

I ordered takeaway, and as it happened changed my mind to decide to eat inhouse. and It was the worst thing I could ever have done. The cashier man was so rude, snatching the food from the counter in front of me, muttering something rude in chinese, almost yelling at me to order from the different menu, and then speaking... This restaurant has become a favourite of extended family and friends as I have been going here for 30 years. it is not a place for a quiet romantic dinner as it is all hustle and bustle and the decor which is now historic has not changed in all this time. Seating upstairs is more elegant than downstairs. Service is... More

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 20 years and it has not changed, even the décor! Food is great with value for money, good portion sizes, good selection of authentic Chinese cuisine. Staff are friendly and fast. Licensed to sell alcohol and open to late. full of mostly hungry patrons winding down after a big day. Can’t... More

Friends of mine had recommended this restaurant to me and we dined there when in Sydney recently. The exterior is a little off putting and there is nothing fancy about the tables etc in the downstairs area. Bu then you dont go there for the view but rather the food and what food it was.We shared the Peking Duck which... More

The good thing is , this restaurant is open till late night. Perfect for supper seekers. The duck is good, well marinated. Chinese tea smooth. Soup is er, every leftover thrown in but tasty nevertheless. Never order the beef. Just horrid. Overall, the shop is a throwback to the 60s and the owner most welcoming.

On my own in Sydney dropped in to BBQ King for a quick meal; two pieces of Peking Duck, special fried rice and a Tsing Tao beer, just what the Doctor ordered!

Among all the meat dishes I have experienced, roast duck with its crispy skin and choice delicate flavoured meat is my favourite. For many years I had roast duck with steamed rice or egg noodles at least twice a week at this restaurant. Eight years ago the doctor advised me that duck meat, being high in cholesterol, is bad for... More
