Chinese done without pretence

We had the Peking Duck and absolutely loved it! Great service, and exceptional food! Now my official favourite Chinese in Sydney! We will be back.

Someone I knew recommended BBQ King but I can't remember who! My parents were in town and we wanted to head to Darling Harbour and Chinatown for a bit of a wander around and bite to eat and fancied something tasty but not too pricey. As others have said the restaurant itself is nothing fancy at all but don't be... More

This restaurant may not look like much but the proof is in the pudding, or the Peking Duck in this case. The restaurant itself looks pretty dingy and the staff can be a little abrupt. But the food makes up for any shortcomings and it's BYO, which is a bonus in Sydney CBD. Would highly recommend the whole Peking Duck... More

At first I thought the prices here were on the high side. We just ordered their barbecue pork and crispy pork belly for our family of 5. When our orders arrived, we were surprised that they were more than enough for our family. They gave us free soup, tea and a large serving bowl of white rice. The food was... More

Seated and served with efficiency, complementary Chinese tea welcome on a hot summer afternoon. Ordered the duck, a tasty half duck and a huge plate of Pak Choy as a side dish, and steamed rice. Large portions, delicious duck, authentic Chinese decor and atmosphere. We had 4 waiters, one brought the tea, one took the order, one brought the food,... More

Just like old school Chinese restaurants from years gone by. Food amazing and plentiful. Service left a bit to be desired, forgetting drink orders, plonking orders anywhere on the table and reaching across in front of you. We were there for the atmosphere & food and were not let down. The ducks hanging in the window, the chefs clearly visible... More

I ordered takeaway, and as it happened changed my mind to decide to eat inhouse. and It was the worst thing I could ever have done. The cashier man was so rude, snatching the food from the counter in front of me, muttering something rude in chinese, almost yelling at me to order from the different menu, and then speaking... This restaurant has become a favourite of extended family and friends as I have been going here for 30 years. it is not a place for a quiet romantic dinner as it is all hustle and bustle and the decor which is now historic has not changed in all this time. Seating upstairs is more elegant than downstairs. Service is... More

I have been dining at this restaurant for over 20 years and it has not changed, even the décor! Food is great with value for money, good portion sizes, good selection of authentic Chinese cuisine. Staff are friendly and fast. Licensed to sell alcohol and open to late. full of mostly hungry patrons winding down after a big day. Can’t... More
