Waited a while for service mid week - purely because the place was super busy! Staff very apologetic, took our order in advance of being seated, and had our food and drinks in front of us within minutes of getting a table. Delicious flavours, well priced, and really comfortable space once we sat down.

This was our first meal out in Sydney and it was a fantastic! Loved the atmosphere, the staff were friendly, meals quick and tasty. To top off a great dining experience we were amazed by the affordability when the bill arrived!!

Located on the rooftop of Cockle Bay Wharf, next to Pyrmont Bridge, location was excellent. We had a Sunday lunch here and enjoyed both the food and decorations. My beef sate sticks were tough and but my chicken main was excellent in both quality and quantity. The others had a banquet and enjoyed the food, with some left over. The... More

I have dined here twice. The locality is excellent at the roof terrace level. I recommend to get there early if you want to sit outside which I think is preferable as it can get quite noisy inside due to it's popularity. The Malaysian food is excellent and service is very prompt and the price is good.

I went as part of a large group and we had the Love Banquet, which was a very good choice. The food was lovely and service fast. We had a number of people with different dietary requirements and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It has an energetic atmosphere and we all enjoyed the night. I look forward... Went here on a recommendation and certainly the location is great and the Big Buddha and décor unusual. We all did enjoy the food but it was an effort getting the attention of staff for drinks and the bill.

I've been to Chinta aria twice over the few months. The first time for a farewell lunch, and the second time for a dinner catch up with a friend. Both times were fantastic! The food comes out fast, and the service is friendly. The portions are very generous, I think because they are designed to be shared between groups of... More

I visited this restaurant my first night in Sydney. After flying in from Uluru we were tired, hungry, and not looking to break the bank on dinner. We chose Chinta Ria because it was highly recommended by both the Eyewitness Guide and Fodor's, and it was within walking distance of our hotel. And we had a hankering for Malaysian food.... More

The walk to Darling Harbour was pleasant on a lovely warm night. There was an inviting, buzzy atmosphere around the streets. The exterior of Chinta Ria couldn't help but draw us in. The big Buddha at the inside of the door was a focal point and very welcoming. We were seated to the side of the kitchen near the pantry... More

We like the Chinta Ria Temple of Love so decided to try the new Chinta Kechil in Double Bay. We knew it was small (18 seat) but didn't know how small. Three of us sat on bench seat facing a nine inch counter.counter - just about wide enough for a plate. We ordered three starters and two mains - all... More
