The moment you walk inside this bustling restaurant you face a giant Buddha with a smiling face. The atmosphere is very lively, the service is very good and the food is excellent. This is a great choice to eat at Darling Harbour.

I've never had a bad experience here at Chinta Ria. When the weather is warm it's lovely to sit outside under the trees. Service is efficient and friendly. The food is always delicious! I highly recommend Ayam Blues, it may sound a bit funky on the menu but it's absolutely sublime, it's a dish we always order. I also love... More

We thought we would celebrate fathers day (2014) by having a nice meal at chinta ria, as we have done on many occasions in the past; however, today we were met with nothing more than an extremely rude waiter. After being seated outside, what started off as a pleasant meal quickly changed. Our waiter made us feel very unwelcome...she continually... More

On Sat night I dined at Chinta Ria with friends from Canberra. Being a Sat night the restaurant was extremely busy but nevertheless both service and food were excellent. We opted to order one dish at a time as we did not want to be rushed which worked very well for us. Some of the dishes we had included Roti... More

Waited a while for service mid week - purely because the place was super busy! Staff very apologetic, took our order in advance of being seated, and had our food and drinks in front of us within minutes of getting a table. Delicious flavours, well priced, and really comfortable space once we sat down.

Located on the rooftop of Cockle Bay Wharf, next to Pyrmont Bridge, location was excellent. We had a Sunday lunch here and enjoyed both the food and decorations. My beef sate sticks were tough and but my chicken main was excellent in both quality and quantity. The others had a banquet and enjoyed the food, with some left over. The... More

I have dined here twice. The locality is excellent at the roof terrace level. I recommend to get there early if you want to sit outside which I think is preferable as it can get quite noisy inside due to it's popularity. The Malaysian food is excellent and service is very prompt and the price is good.

I went as part of a large group and we had the Love Banquet, which was a very good choice. The food was lovely and service fast. We had a number of people with different dietary requirements and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It has an energetic atmosphere and we all enjoyed the night. I look forward... Went here on a recommendation and certainly the location is great and the Big Buddha and décor unusual. We all did enjoy the food but it was an effort getting the attention of staff for drinks and the bill.
