Been here twice on my short city break holidays. We love the food and service. The atmosphere is nice if you dine outside with view of the harbor bridge and opera house. Overall a good experience. On my to do list whenever i visit Sydney.

Well placed for meals pre or post Opera House or the Cinema, or just enjoying the lovely views of Sydney harbour. The meal I had at East Chinese restaurant however did not deliver an authentic Chinese taste. Good service & decent premises. As with many of the restaurants on the Harbour, it is not cheap.

We have eaten at this restaurant several times when we are going to the Opera House. Although some might consider it to be westernised chinese food, we always find the food to be good quality and the servings are decent size. The wait staff are attentive and there is a good wine list with a selection of bottles at quite... More

What a terrible restaurant. We went to this highly recommended so called Chinese restaurant, what a joke. Firstly the place was almost empty, we should have been apprehensive, but we sat and ordered. First course tasteless heavy prawn dumplings, atrocious. Second course spring rolls, greasy and full of cabbage. Third course the famous Peking duck pancakes, well what an overwhelming... More

There were 8 of us seated outside under heated umbrellas with the Harbour Bridge lit up in the background and the Opera House down the way. The food is authentic Chinese - not your neighbourhood Chinese restaurant "north americanized" - different and really delicious. It was a long, lazy evening, no rush. The staff were very attentive. And the price... More

At first, it looked crowded, but the waiter showed us a table and soon we were enjoying "magic" steak and stir-fried kangaroo meat. Fabulously tasty and tender, the meal was a little more expensive than most places, but considering how crowded everything was, it wasn't too bad.

Lovely spot looking out over Circular Quay towards the cruise terminal and the bridge. Quick and informal atmosphere and service and good quality Chinese food. Ideal for dinner before or after a movie at the Dendy or a show at the Opera House and suitable for an informal meal for couples, family, or with friends. But it is rather expensive... More

We were seated outside under the canopy with the Harbour Bridge in the background. Staff very friendly and efficient. Clean restaurant with caring and attentive waiters to change our dirty plates regularly and refill our teapots with piping hot tea. Even replaced our cooled down rice with fresh piping hot ones without our requesting. Offered paper bibs and finger bowls... More

It started to rain when we arrived so we could not sit outside, so we sat on the outside edge of the inside section by the pavement. Service was OK. The food was quite nice, but the crispy duck came already served in a pancake rather than doing it yourself and there was not enough hoisin sauce, plus it was... More

I know I'm a tourist in Sydney and I'll never return to this restaurant but it was apalling . We had been to the Sydney opera house so we were looking to dine quite late by Sydney standards . The opening comment was " please order quickly " which we did . No time to peruse the menu so I... More
