Have been coming here for years. Why? Because the food is bloody good. Not cheap though; although the quality makes up for that. BTW....I am looking forward to many future visits.

Walking around the Sydney Opera House after dark, we happened to dine at this great restaurant! Wow! The Mongolian Lamb was delicious as was the Salt & Pepper Shrimp! A bottle of Kangarilla Pinot Grigio was the perfect match for this feast! We will go here again! Jeff & Donna White Radnor, PA, U.S.A.

Great Food with a view of Sydney Harbour. Situated at the quay Opera House end. Beautiful food, great service if you are going to a show at the Opera House. Magic Steak is to die for, the most tender fillet steak I have tried. All of our selections were very enjoyable only very pricey but the view you get!

Chose this restaurant for an international guest as the views of the harbour bridge and circular quay are excellent. Service was good and the wine list had an extensive range of fine wines and fair prices. Food was edible but nothing special, much better available in chinatown

I visit this restaurant at least once a week & the food is fantastic. Super fresh food is rare at most chinese restaurants but not here. I have always found the staff reserved but certainly not arrogant. Their seafood is to really good, lots of spice if you so desire

Whilst holidaying in Sydney you have to dine on the water at some stage. This restaurant nailed it. Excellent service by the staff coupled with a great location and topped off with very good food. The Fillet Steak with XO Chilli sauce was the favourite of all of us but all dishes were high standard.

My wife and I, whenever we go to a concert at the Opera House, always eat at East Chinese, the food the view, everything about the is wonderful, sometimes out performs the concert. Just the best, do your self a favour and don't go past this dining establishment, never had a bad meal here.

The restaurant is the last one in a row of restaurants situated along the Circular Quay bend of restaurants and so it is closest to the Sydney Opera House. Situated about 30 m from the waterside, it has a glorious view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and the environs. Food-wise, we ordered an earthen-pot filled with a garlicky blend of... More

Set opposite the harbour bridge,I noticed the east restaurant one night when walking back to hotel. Decided to try it out on 19.9.14 and can not fault it. Service was smart and polite, food servednhot and was delicious (we had the vegetable spring rols, bbq dumplings, lemon chicken, cicken singapore noodles a some boiled rice) and not overly extortionately priced....
