I have been here many times now, it is my go-to place for a drink when I want something a bit classier than a pub, and want to escape the crazy crowds of Opera Bar. Although a bit pricey I find the service, food and array of cocktails and beverage very worthwhile. I have organised two separate work functions here... More

Well this place is our favourite- the views are elevated and almost private of the best that Sydney has to offer – we love it The staff are fantastic , friendly ,professional, flexible and great to talk to Nothing beats Sydney on a sunny day with the breeze coming in the window and a venue that can be formal or... I have been a regular at ECQ Bar and Q Dining for around 4 years now but the drop in professionalism and competency of the staff on multiple occasions is almost too much to handle. Are you sure you're still a 5* property? Do you know you are in the hospitality industry? For example, I attended ECQ Bar today with... More

We visited sydney water front with our family on a busy day . We wanted somewhere to eat and all the restaurants on the quayside were very busy. We had great service in ecq bar. We were found a great table overlooking the harbour and the food was great for us and our kids. This was a great place for... More

I was so disappointed in this restaurant. Has lovely views but shame it was spoilt by the terrible service and awful food. I ordered the crab pasta, my advise don't, what was served on my plate can only be described as slop. Congealed cream, over cooked pasta and a few pieces of crab. No seasoning, no flavour. When we complained... More

I took my family to ECQ Bar for lunch. The staff could not do enough for us, the drinks were great, you are away from the crowd, but can see the view really well to the harbour bridge and ferries. The food was nice, the fish and chips were sensational but there it ends, the rest of the food was... More

What a wonderful location, fantastic views, chilled atmosphere, lovely bar staff (Michael & Adam). Just don't order main dishes; both meals were disgusting and we left them on the table. The burger was cold and the pasta was under-cooked. Edgardo (Bar Manager) doesn't smile much and didn't bother to find out why we left our meals on the table (almost... More

It hides above east Circular Quay looking to the west. The pedestrian activity is below. There are large windows and when open they bring the outside in. The selection of cocktails and snacks should satisfy most.

What a venue - and what lovely staff here. After being burned by voucher before I was tentative but the greet staff were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Even the table behind us knocking over wine glasses that smashed on the floor didn't take away their smiles. We even got a free jazz session that... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
