Try the tiger pie and mash deal - fantastic and only 6 dollars. The hot dogs are also definitely worth a try.
Walked over to Harry's from the Circular Quay finding it easily by the crowd of people eating happily along the sidewalk. We each got a tiger pies that were filled with savory beef and topped with potatoes and peas. Heaven on earth comes close to describing the taste. Maybe it was the anticipation, maybe it was the light breakfast, but... More
It's a must to do when you are in Sydney. The tiger pie is the famous dish and if mushy peas and mash are your thing it fits the bill.
Every time I visit Sydney, I always try my best to visit Harry's @ Wooloomooloo. The pies a generously served, the van simply adorable and so photogenic and a stroll up and you're in the Botanical Gardens. A leisurely 20 min walk enjoying the beautiful surroundings and you've reached the Sydney Opera House. What more can you ask for?
I've been to Sydney three times now. No visit is complete without a visit to Harry's. Love the pie, onions, mask, peas and gravy, served on a disposable plate and eaten with a plastic fork. Loved it each time I went. Excellent value for money and a true Aussie experience.
I went to Harry´s Cafe de Wheels and got me a pie ! And a sausage as well ! I liked the pie and the place is well worth the visit. I learned that the Aussies does´nt seem to have any authentic food so this was the closest to that !
In complete contrast ate here for breakfast and a couple of late evenings and its reputation didn't disappoint. Pie mash and peas were fantastic. Lovely staff and great value for money.
Right on the main road from Woolloomooloo to Kings Cross. The famous pie and peas still the best. Their hot dogs not too bad either
Harry's Café de Wheels came as a great delight to us, hot, tired and hungry after a long day trekking around Sydney, we had a deliciously restorative pie and hot dog which set us up for more walking. It's worth spending a few minutes reading and looking at the collages of notable visitors. An icon and a must visit.
This is one of the places you need to see, even if you're not that much into fast food... As we are are neither Australian nor British, meat pies are not that common for us and we were curious to try some. I recommend some version that includes beef, potato mash and/or peas, such as the Tiger. This is their... More
