The value for money you really get from this little spot in Sydney is great. To have the bread and minimal salad and that addictive orange cordial, it was a nice pleasure to visit Bill & Toni's. The staff were really friendly and the serving sizes were huge. As my first experience for a quick lunch, this place is a... More

We had to go back again when on holiday in Sydney (where my wife and I grew up) and everything was as it has been for decades, Fantastic value, including free orange cordial, plain fresh bread and minimal "lettuce and oil" salad. Our kids (now aged 9-14) always look forward to visiting Bill and Toni's, so perhaps yet another generation... More

I am bewildered by the favourable reviews of this restaurant. I went recently as part of a large group to celebrate something. Everything was poor - service, food, environment and general attitude. The word 'institution' is frequently used for this place - there is nothing to merit the word. Don't use valuable time and holiday budget on this restaurant.

While Stanley St has sorta "grown up" around Bill & Toni's it remains a reliable cultural icon ... 37 years on and we'll return again.

I love the restaurant upstairs and was surprised it still ran like it did many years ago when I had been a couple of times. No fuss! Just choose from the menu. You get a free jug of orange drink brought to the table. Your spaghetti bolognaise comes with a large bowl of lettuce and you can choose an inexpensive... More

My friend and I were in Sydney on vacation and when we returned a rental car nearby we asked where we could get some really good coffee and a gentleman told us about Bill and Toni's. We had a couple of delicious sandwiches and what we maintain was the best coffee of our lives. We even made a special trip... More

I have been going to Bill & Toni's since the 1980s and I am sad to say the standard of the food has really dropped. They are trading on their reputation now but I hope they lift their game otherwise I won't be going back. A vegetarian lasagne just isn't the same without actual vegetables!

It appears me that the food is not authentic Italian? Overcooked pasta, average bread, average quality cakes, mmm coffee ok! There is nothing Artisan about this place!

Went upstairs, sat on the terrace balcony which was nice. Food was nice and quick and very authentic. I asked the waitress for a can of coke and she said "oh im gonna have to walk downstairs for that", so rude, sorry that i wanted to spend money at your restaurant on a drink to go with my meal!!! good...
