The manager was from Italy and very friendly. he said the Australians don't like their pasta "al dente", since I mentioned my pasta was a bit overcooked. The flavor aspect was missing from all of our dishes; pasta & shrimp, eggplant rollatini (was cold), and mushroom appetizer. All bland and definitely not Italian.

My wife and I had lunch at the restaurant as part of the Bike Buffs tour and returned a couple of nights later for dinner. The maître d remembered us and came by to visit, the food was great, service was excellent, and the lemon cella at the end of the night was a nice touch. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We visited Ventuno off the back of a recommendation from a wine merchant and expected it to be very special. The location is simply to die for and the italian wait staff were chirpy and very attentive. I did expect more from the menu though. The Tagliere Misto was very good with some great cheeses and Prosciutto. The pasta selection... More

It was very crowded with people eating before the theatre, but the owner kindly found me a table and looked after me personally. I enjoyed an excellent pizza made of high-quality fresh ingredients, and a glass of wine from the extensive selection of Italian wines. I was made to feel very welcome, but did find it rather noisy.

Ten of use had a team dinner during the week and we found the restaurant full compared with others in the area not as full. Good start. We ordered the mixed entrees (Cicciona) for the table and they were excellent, highly recommended. For main course there was a mix of pastas and pizza ordered and nobody had a single complaint.... Sat outside for a sunny lunch. Good service, knowledgable and friendly waiting staff, nice wine recommendation. Would recommend for a relaxing and leisurely long lunch.

We visited on Saturday night, early approximately 6pm and sat out side and enjoyed the lights with the warmth of the heaters. I'd eaten here before inside and found it a little noisy, outside on the large open spacious tables was great. Order the large pizza, it was great and for my teenagers whilst we enjoyed other delights. Great night

Fast friendly service, reasonable prices for a waterfront establishment & large tasty servings make this the ideal place for a pre-theatre dinner. We had a pizza & Italian salad...plenty for 2 people. It was also good to be able to buy wine by the glass.

We were recommended this restaurant by friend and we were not disappointed. We were given the opportunity to be seated closer to the indoor heating or in a cooler part of restaurant. Excellent shared platter starter and main courses. Quite pricey for pizzas but in a nice location next to one of the wharfs and great friendly service. Recommend.
