This restaurant is stacked with suits during the week. But don't worry about that. Great location in Barrack street - near the GPO. The food and atmosphere are great. Staff are friendly. It's a restaurant - not a cafe, so prices are higher but very reasonable for quality Italian fare. Recommended.

Monday night might not be the busiest, but the restaurant was 90% empty, no atmosphere. Service and food are good, meals and wine are a fraction to expensive for this bland restaurant. They should should consider developing an ambiance

Had lunch here on a weekday with friends. From the owner/manager and all the staff, service and attention was first class. Across the group we tried pizza, veal dishes and pasta plus shared starters of bruschetta and calamari. Compliments for all dishes and good serving sizes. Wine list is reasonable value with Ok choices offered. Overall nice and casual and... More

First night in Sydney. A friend made us a reservation. Wine food and service was very good. We all enjoyed our meals. Would return if again in Sydney

Three colleagues and myself dined here on business trip. The dishes were good al round with the veal a particular favourite. Service good but the setting a bit uninspiring.

We decided on having Italian food on our last night in Sydney. I pulled up TripAdvisor reviews and La Bora was conveniently near our hotel. We ordered 2 litre bottles of sparkling water, 1 Hawaiian pizza and a pasta dish along with salads and the total was $93! Yikes! I wouldn't rate the value as stellar.

Busy Friday lunch but staff friendly and efficient. Quality food, freshly made pizza and mouth-numbing, home-grown chillies. A great restaurant that copes well with the popular lunchtime rush. Well done La Bora.

We ate here a few times while staying at the Carrington Apartments across the road. Charming little place below ground and we fell in love with the pizza. The very friendly manager/owner told us they had previously been voted best in Sydney.

relaxed lunch time dining with a good selection of Italian staples that won't break the budget. Service is friendly and efficient.

We stumbled into La Bora our first night in Sydney. It really is down in a "cave". OMG! The food was so good...my husband had pizza and I had a shrimp pasta. The best, however, was the ensalada Caprese...the best I've ever had which we split. We had Gemtree Bloodstone wine...which was recommended and fit the dinner to a tee.... More
