Food is crushingly good.....

Having not been to the diner for many years, i booked it for a business lunch last week. Now I do love my food and have been fortunate to eat in many great restaurant here and abroad, but the food here is now back on my absolute fav list! Being familiar with diners in the USA I was quite surprised when taken to this diner to find it very different indeed. It is a casually elegant dining space, with some outdoor tables, and offering a tempting array of modern Australian dishes which proved to be well presented and very tasty. I took advantage of the $50 offer of 3... More

Have eaten here several times and the food has always been fantastic. Big flavours and a well-balanced menu. I'm not a wine buff but I've also enjoyed the wines I've had here. On my last visit, the service wasn't great - didn't match the standard of the food. When I arrived I was left standing at the door for several... More

Pleasant suburban modern Australian cuisine restaurant that offers both a decent a la carte as well as 2 or 3 course lunch special menus. If the weather in nice, request a table outside.

It was my birthday on a Friday and we were a small party of five, inside, beside the window. The table was separate enough to feel private, even though the whole place became very busy and the loud buzz of conversation told us how well-packed this restaurant is when full. We went for the 'sharing menu' with wines to match... More

Had dinner with another couple on a wet Tuesday evening. Street parking OK; room and staff warm and welcoming. Food was really good, especially the honey bugs and vongole; these guys can cook. Whilst we spent $170/ couple, the food quality made it good value. Coffee and desert were also excellent, especially the granita special that night. Overall we had... More

This restaurant has a lovely outdoor area on a beautiful part of Glebe Pt Road, perfect for an autumn day. We had the 2 course set menu, ordered the sugar bugs and lamb, both delicious with a glass of Italian wine included. Friendly attentive service.

Whilst locals obviously know of this restaurant I suspect most tourists would struggle to find it. They should make the effort. The food was excellent. Because it was full, we had to sit at the bar and really seeing a professional kitchen team at work. The lamb was delicious and the burnt baked Alaska was as good a pudding as... More

I was deeply disappointed in this restaurant, which I've read about for years and have wanted to visit for a long time. Went last week with a party of friends, and those who ordered the pate and then a steak were well satisfied. However, I appear to have ordered from the starvation menu. The tartare of kingfish was delicious, but... More

I headed in here with high expectations.....and was quite disappointed. The primary problem is value for money..... The tortellini main had precisely four pieces of pasta on the plate. Somewhat famished we thought that the selection of three cheeses might be nice - nothing wrong with the cheeses themselves, but $30.00 buys you about 60 grams....that would be $500/kilo. Ever...
