Great service, food and atmosphere

This is a great little restaurant that served beautiful Italian food. We shared an entree of fresh buffalo mozzarella with grilled corn - it was so fresh and a great combination of tastes. For main we shared a smoked eggplant tagliatelle and a fried trout. The tagliatelle was nice (it didn't look... read more

We had great expectations when we walked in. It felt like an authentic Italian enoteca. Small, cosy, low hum of lively conversation. Wine select was very good. The food, well, some was ok but overall it was disappointing. The tonnato was good, the antipasti was ok but the salmi was sliced chunky and thick. The real let down was the... More

This restaurant is a sister of 121BC, so if you love simple and flavorful food, and an outstanding selection of Italian wine, this place is for you. Its small and a little cramped, but cosey and comfortable. Had a great atmosphere. The meals were reasonable for the price and delicious. Service was outstanding, superb recommendations for the best wine to... More

We dined at Vini on Saturday night, party of four. Got off to an OK start but we hardly received a very cool greeting on arrival (5 mins early for our 8:15pm booking). We were seated next to the bar counter which was perfect. We got some share plates underway at the suggestion of our waiter (a Garfish and a... More

I think Vini would seat about 50 to 55 people at a push. The night I was there I was the second setting for the night one at 6pm and 1 at 8'sh. Both sessions were packed and it was a Tuesday night. The food predominately Italian was just superb, the tastes were delightful and I chose the 4 course... More

Every mouthful was flavourful! Good price considering the quality of food, but for wine it's better to ask the sommerlier's suggestion, although it doesn't come cheap but totally worth it.

Vini is a little dark cave of Italian loveliness. Blackboards cover the walls listing the numerous Italian wines as well as the daily menu. There are only a handful of each course available but each is wonderful in it's own way. Home made pasta features in different ways so it is advisable to try everything. The wines are excellent and... More

Nice little restaurant that can be a victim of it's success. Very crowded and noisy, we had to constantly remind staff of our drinks order but overall good. Apart from staff struggling to cope with service and space, they are nice and want to serve. Food very good, particularly the pasta; wine list ok. Would definitely go back.

2 couples. Saturday night 8.30pm. Place was buzzing but with only a few tables it doesn't get super noisy. A casual, beautifully lit authentic Italian style local restaurant..and by authentic i don't mean the old style Nonna and Pappa place in Leichardt in the 80s with paneled wood veneer walls...albeit good food. I mean authentic like cool, modern Rome.Love the... More

It was the hottest day in Sydney for years, we are vegetarians and Italian restaurants usually do ok for vegos. What a surprise we were in for at Vini's. The service was welcoming, attentive and generous with a smile. We enjoyed every part of our meal and even shared a delectable dessert. The food was fresh , innovative and light,... More
