We were a table of 6, celebrating my daughter's birthday. The restaurant was quite cosy tending to be slightly tight. The menu managed to satisfy the palette of my family. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Service was good and friendly.

Choose this venue, having seen the positive reviews online. Great deco and friendly staff giving it a friendly feeling. The food was excellent Modern Australian especially the lamb. Great location so you can walk around circular quay after the dinner

I have no idea why so many hotel concierge recommend this restaurant. Makes me doubt their authenticity. The food was well prepared, the lamb rare and tender, my salad was pretty normal, nothing special. But it was the atmosphere that took it off my radar - no character, a bit smelly, and not intimate at all. If it were somewhere... More

Having read the great reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to give Selah a go when we visited Sydney earlier this month. We had dinner there on the 19th October. Superb food, excellent service and I hope for those who visit regularly, Selah finds a new home soon, it will be sorely missed no doubt. Thank you!

Having just read the reviews listed here, I am so sorry to hear this restaurant is closing! What a shame having just discovered it! My husband had the best 'meat pie' (a gastronomic delight) he has ever had - and I loved my small taster and I dont like meat pies! The fish and chips kept me guessing as to... More

Selah has been our treat to ourselves for my partner and me over the past few years. We would donate blood, then head to Selah to rebuild iron levels with any of the dishes on the sumptuous menu.... Purely on the wholly defensible grounds of health maintenance, of course. Alas, the Gallipoli Club has elected not to renew Selah's lease.... More

I ordered the fish (Ling) and it was overcooked and smelled. My wife ordered the tenderloin which I actually enjoyed (after trying my disgusting fish anything would have tasted good). She thought it was too salty. The best thing there was my daughter's kids meal of fish and chips! And it was about 1/4th the price of one of our... More

Had just had another enjoyable evening at Selah when Sam Pesk the owner advised us "that all good things come to an end. After 10 years Selah is closing at the end of the month" Pity as Selah was such a reliable and good value restuarant. It never had any illusions to being the best in Sydney but for 10... More

I have become a little tired of the Sydney restaurant scene. So many charge so much for so little, or cater for tourists with little care for ensuring guests return. Not at Selah though. I had a thoroughly enjoyable meal there recently. Very nice food, excellent service and tremendous wine. Definitely and experience that left wanting to go back for... More
