Staying nearby I walked to Thaipower, ordered the red Chicken Curry wanting to be safe, it was superb, probably the best I've eaten and I have had this dish all over Thailand and Australia. Even better as I was on a budget there was more than I could eat, and I am a big bloke who eats a lot. For... More

We ate there a few times now and we loved it. The food is tasteful. The service is fast, you dont have to wait to long time to be serve and the food is almost cook live as you see the cook preparing the dish in front of you. The price is pretty good and you have big portions.

Of all the Thai restaurants out there. This one is the best tasting and best price with out a doubt. I'd eat there every time I want Thai food.

wow - what a gem! we're looking for an asian food fix and stumbled upon Thaipower at Victoria Street. Their Tom Yum Goom is so good and authentic, really nourished us during that cold night in Sydney. We also ordered the seafood rice which is really yummy, they're very generous with the prawns, scallops and mussels! Very cheap too. Highly... More

Excellent food, great prices and quick service. Off the main drag, but well worth the visit. Highly recommend.

Although Thai Power accepts only cash payment, features limited seating and is nestled by smelly hostels and a laundromat it probably serves up the finest tangy Thai-style food for under AUD30/meal with beverage. I ate here a couple of times in May 2013 and also in previous years. It's not as tasty as I remember it having been in the... More

This tiny place on a leafy street offers an $8.50 lunch special; we ordered the Pad Thai chicken and added a vegetable salad ($10). The hot dish quickly arrived steaming hot; the salad was fresh and delicious. Both selections had authentic complex flavours; there was plenty of food for two. Note there is no air conditioning. I'd go back here... More

We went here yesterday and although the prices are cheap I would not recommend it. The curry I had tasted awful, like a cheap red curry from a bottle. I didnt even finish my food. My girlfriend choose the Pad See Ewe and she also did finished it, she said it tasted "burnt" which I had to agree once I... More
