We were looking for somewhere to eat before a show at the Entertainment Centre. Found this vegetarian restaurant - not flash to look at but food is lovely. Vegetarian restaurants are so scarce so this was a great find that we will be coming back to. Lots of choice on the menu, tasty food, service quick if a little distracted.

Each time I eat here I have enjoyed it. The menu is extensive. Everything I've tried has been tasty, but I particularly love the soya bean roll - a lovely contrast of textures and tasty flavours. Service is friendly too. Prices are not as cheap as some other eateries, but the quality and variety are excellent.

This restaurant offers an extensive menu which can be pretty overwhelming but when you finally make your choices and the food arrives at the table, the lovely aromas hit you and your taste buds are rewarded by the scrumptiousness of the food. We were awed to see 94yo Mother Chu sitting at a corner table still so active and she... More

Interesting food. A bit basic but ok for vegan food. Have eaten bear a few years ago. Prices are reasonable.

Better than I expected. First time trying such kind of food, as suggested by a friend.

This place is unpretentious. Food is excellent, some good faux meats. Varied menu. In the middle of town. Give it a try.

If you are vegan [or even vegetarian] this is a great place for you. It is reasonably priced (for Sydney) but the food is great and the choice wide. It has a no alcohol (even if you bring it yourself) policy My favourite dish is hot and sour soup by which I measure all Asian restaurants and this is both... More

I heard about this place on HappyCow.net and just had to go there when I was in Sydney. It's your typical Chinese restaurant interior; however the food and story is beyond great. I love Asian food, but it's often so hard to find vegan options. With Mother Chu's, I had no problem. The place was packed and the menu was... More

Saturday night and place was busy. We had reserved a table and it's a good thing we did. We ordered two entrees and three mains with rice for two adults and two children to share. While we had to wait a while, the food made up for it. The entrees of fried dim sim and tofu marinated in miso sauce... More

I went there to eat, it's a nice place, clean and tidy, I didn't have to wait to long to be attended, and the food is great, but it is not as cheaper as you will think, the cost is around 15,16 dollars,, for almost all the plates, but I remember I ate something for 9.50 I think it was... More
