Either inside for a private quiet conversation, or in the courtyard enjoying the sculptures, the space, and the passers-by, this is a good place for lunch. The food is varied, interesting and fresh, and the service attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Fresh lime for the water? No trouble. My gnocchi was excellent and my friend's warm salad just... The MOS was a bit slow to start for breakfast and staff seemed intent on being a little too professionally pleasant. The setting - underneath the museum - has potential but they do not seem to have made much of it. It was a bit cool and people had to ask them to out the wall heaters on - after... More

This cafe was near my hotel Sofital on Philip street so it was very convenient for breakfast, the prices were reasonable for the area, breakfast was nice and the service great.

Great breakfast cafe, also good modern Australian specials for lunch and dinner, excellent coffee and wine list. Considering the central location (near Circular Quay opposite the Intercontinental Hotel) this is the place for moderately priced food, served outside or inside before or after a visit to the fascinating collection in the Museum of Sydney. Great people watching spot, service could... More

Excellent for a vegetarian. Very sweet and courteous staff. Good sit out area. Reasonably priced. Coffee isn't too great when compared to other cafes.

We had a bite of lunch here after visiting the Museum / business appointments & it was lovely to sit in the sun & enjoy a light lunch. The salt & pepper squid with aoli was superb & the fries excellent

Stopped by the Museum of Sydney Cafe a couple of times during a recent stay. Very good coffee! Service was reasonable as were the prices. Its well located and if you are visiting the Museum a good place to take a coffee break.

Our group had a wonderful lunch at mos cafe and recommend it to others. The food was delicious, the wine list extensive and the service excellent and quite unobtrusive.

We always stop by the Museum of Sydney on our return visits to Australia and the city, more for its shop but also for its cafe and its coffee. We have eaten in the past and breakfast can be pleasant. This time it was coffee and orange juice and both were good. Service on this occasion was slow and inattentive:... More

This was one of the best breakfasts we had in Sydney in terms of affordability, quality and service. The menu was surprisingly extensive - we were all pleasantly surprised & would definitely return again.
