Great food, experimental ideas, very creative

Recommend the degustation with wine, service is quite good, not much selection for beer drinkers, but extensive wine list. Be careful about buying champagne by the glass as its about $30, get a bottle straight away instead.

Some of the best food I have ever eaten. As soon as the plate hits the table you know it's going to be amazing. I enjoyed all the paired wines, however some more wine conscientious may find it a touch under whelming. Some of our table felt this way. The staff were good, however not at the same 'amazing' level... More

Very good, creative food, nice staff. One comment - tables for two are crammed adjacent, cheek-by-jowl, so private conversations cannot be had whether business or personal. I understand the commercial aspect here but sometimes you want to converse without feeling like the neighbours are in your conversation too. Perhaps Marque should consider creating spaces for people who want to converse... More

An inviting space with really good seats and ambience. We chose the eight course degustation with matching wines and I enjoyed every course, most were absolutely superb but a few got a little lost with too much happening (case in point, the crab starter which was lovely but I think the crab was overwhelmed with everything around it). All the... More

Marque thrives on putting new twists on fine dining and the food is both delicious and fun. The set menu is a steal and the paired wines are a must, there were some surprising and unusual finds including one of the best chardonnays I've ever had (and I don't usually drink chardonnay). The atmosphere is relaxed and elevated, great for... More

With the price of $160 pp, I'll say it is really worthy to try this three hats restaurant, the food is absolutely tasty, and service is good as well. Knowing my girl friend's birthday was that day, they even gave us a special offer (wonderful chocolate cake). Everything was good, but just not extremely impressive.

We had degustation menu here. The restaurant is not so big inside as is the one of the top restaurant in town. But the service and each course was beautiful and just perfect.

My friend and I wanted to be in Sydney for NYE without the nonsense and hassle of Circular Quay / Harbour so we stayed in Paddington. I'd been to this restaurant before, and I wanted to go back and see how I felt a second time. My friend was delighted, but I was less than impressed. 50% of the dishes'... More

We went there on a Wednesday night and the place was only 25% full. The tasting menu was very inventive. Some dishes had interesting combinations of flavors, but the taste wasn't that good. We walked out of there wishing that we had picked another restaurant. Out of all of the spots to eat this place felt over priced, not very... More

eight course degustation menu plus Amuse bouche and pre-dessert, no choice and menu not revealed until it is served. All quite lovely but flavours don't pop and some courses better than others. Lots of fancy gels and sauces but the flavours all sort of meld and become lost with each other so the individual flavours are no longer discernable. Pre-dessert... More
