Very ordinary food, noisy, waiters unhelpful. There are much better options that this old time place which is badly in need of an update decor and food wise. Half our ordered meals did not appear so we left hungry. We were told very naught chef will be better next time. No next time for us

Again, like many Yum Cha restaurants, if you are not of a certain cultural group then don't expect the good trolleys to come near you. The food is good- when you chase the trolley to get what you want- but the staff is average at best. Actually, thats being kind- they re very ambivalent. There are probably better Yum Cha... More

Went here yesterday with a group of 12 for yum cha here. One of the oldest Chinese restaurants in Sydney. Food was good but not the best I have tried for yum cha in Sydney. Two large levels to this restaurant and absolutely packed with people at 1 pm on a weekday, so very popular. Quick service. Delicious duck and... More

Nine of us for dinner, food was fabulous. Whole Peking duck $78 was a bit of a fiasco, each person gets one tiny pancake with a slice of duck breast and the rest taken away to make sang chow bow..The lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, fired rice all fabulous...but the waiter....clanging plates and cups at lightning speed onto to... A well known Chinese restaurant in Sydney especially for yum cha of which we went to. Rudest staff we ever met who slammed cutlery, plates & bowls so loud that mother-in-law went scared. Food was average as other establishments do better. Won't recommend to anyone unless you don't mind the lack of standard in service & culinary.

Everyone in Sydney knows Marigold in China Town. Set over two levels . Access via lifts. No windows (in the restaurant, not the lifts). The serve yum cha for lunch and 'a la carte' in the evening. More fun and better food during yum cha.

When to Yum Cha at the Marigold in Haymarket on Sunday. It was quite busy but seated quickly and the trollies just kept moving throughout the room. The food was delicious and flavoursome. Wait staff were good. Went with a group of friends who had no seen for a while and so took our time to chat and graze for... More

Walked in off the street and found an obviously popular Sydney Chinese restaurant. Two levels operating and full of diners , staff extremely busy and no time to indulge in customer interaction. Elderly staff quite abrupt but efficient. Meal flavours ,quantity and value for money top class. Great Chinese food experience .
