This restaurant has so much potential with a fabulous location and cosy atmosphere in the outside dining area. Unfortunately the standard or food and service is inconsistent. We first dined there on a busy Sunday night in May and the whole dining experience was very enjoyable with a deliciously prepared meat platter and attentive, efficient service to match. I returned... This used to be a special place for my partner and I when we came to Sydney for a break from Newcastle but we haven't been for a couple of years. I'm not sure if the restaurant has changed hands but the menu choice seems to be smaller and more catering toward 'snacky' type menu items. The standard of the... More

I wish I had read the previous reviews prior to purchasing a voucher to have dinner at this place. The voucher was advertised for $49-00 and supposedly valued at $159.00 which was a 3 course dinner for 2 and a bottle of wine. It's definitely not worth $159-00 and the wait of 2 hours for our meals to be served... More

"All you can WAIT bbq" would be a more appropriate name for this restaurant. It took us 1,5 hours to get our first skimpy morsels of meat. And it's not as if the restaurant was busy either - a handful of bored people. While keeping myself occupied with watching my fellow sufferers, it dawned on me that the long faces... More

hope the owner is reading this and do something about the dirty glasses. we went for the Lunch special $12, with main, salad ad chips. good quantity, nice atmosphere, the waiter can get your order wrong (Even with an empty restaurant of only 3 tables......), that said, its good value for money .

After an hour of waiting for 3 mains, we decided to cancel our order as the staff kept telling us the food was on its way when it wasn't. If you like dirty glasses with lipstick on them from the previous customer, staff that really didn't care if u were there or not & food that doesn't arrive, then check... More

Was a quiet Wednesday night and not many people were in the restaurant. There was zero atmosphere. Service was ordinary, not rude - just slow, particularly given the number of diners. I ordered some garlic bread which was bland as a starter. I ordered the sizzling fajitas (beef) for mains. The fajitas were quite nice, but perhaps a little pricey.... More

We had a great meal at very reasonable rates. Some food I've never tried and have been converted to a fan. This will be my regular.

We've been going to La Cita quite regularly and back then the service & food was great. The restaurant changed owners & personnel earlier this year, and it's gone down... We had a voucher and we both ordered the same dish, except one came out 20 minutes before the other. We had to ask the waiter a few times what... More
