Description: Inspired by the street food of South East Asian, Jimmy Liks, has an extensive menu offering a quick bite of tapas style street hawker nibbles or a full 7 course Jimmy's Selection banquet menu ($49pp). The cocktail list is a short sharp experience in taste. Holding true to the asian flavours & a dedication to quality, the list is a fresh & innovative example of today's cocktail phenomenon with just a splash of the best of the old school classics. The wine list is fastidiously dedicated to compliment our Asian style of cooking, dominated by young unwooded & well balance whites and lightly wooded spicier reds. From benchmark Australian boutique wines to cult classics from Europe, the Jimmy' wine list is designed to encourage variety. Around three-quarters of the list is available by the glass & carafe to encourages a 'wine bar' experience.Bookings Although walk-ins are very welcome, bookings of up to 60 people are available all week.

I guess to a degree I struggle with the concept high priced street food from Asia in particular. In saying that the food is tasty. They try to be different by offering a far cleaner taste then compared to the real street food. But the portions are still shocking. Everything is so small. You have to order heaps to be... More

For a restaurant thats been around for so long - Last night was my first visit to this sydney institution - and I can definitely see why its lasted so long - in a locale where few restaurants last. Its understated from the street - I almost walked past it . Formed in a U shape with long common tables... More

I’m told Jimmy Liks is an institution … I’m just sorry we hadn’t discovered it earlier! I think I was avoiding it as it’s in a tiny, narrow venue with long shared tables – something I try to avoid at all costs. However, a Dimmi special offer tempted us along, and I’m so glad we went. Our host was charming,... More

On Sunday, Jimmy Licks have special board for $32 including 2 finger foods, 1 street dish plus curry and rice. $5 drinks before 6:30 is another gem you will find. Innovative combination of South East Asian cousins. The board is available Sun - Thurs

The chef here is just incredible. A 7 course degustation lunch menu on a Sunday for $45.00 - total bargain which also includes a cocktail. The range of dishes here will tickle your taste buds and most dishes are extremely healthy, bursting with flavour. Atmosphere wasnt great and it didnt buzz and like other reviews here, I found the staff... More

Decor and ambience are great. We were seated next to the large open window at the front of the restaurant. Great spot for watching the day go by. Trendy without making you feel out of place. One long communal dining table. Three of us dined and we shared prawn betel leaves ($5 each), galloping horses, serving was two but they... More

Pork hock was an awesome twist on the classic sweet and sour pork, and the goat shoulder curry made me want to farm goats. However having one of our entrees 'lost in the mail' and hearing another table receive the complete wrong dish left a foul taste in our mouths. For the price you pay you would expect the waitress...
