Nice food, loved the chips. The mussels are a must try! We ended up ordering too much because we didn't know the mussles came with chips. Seating was a bit of a problem because it seemed like everyone was too busy to sit us down at first.

As avid beer consumers, my husband and I were excited about the Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe. We were disappointed as soon as we arrived.... it is an absolutely huge cafe, but it was a ghost town.... we were the only souls in there.... there were burned out lights... every beer I asked for was out of stock, which was disappointing... We dropped by mid afternoon and although the drinks were good and the service was fine, it really wasn't happening on a Saturday arvo. Staff are in no rush so be patient. They are very friendly though. Toilets are clean and the beer is good. There are plenty of places with more vibe but this is fine if you're out... More

I have been a big fan of the HBBC for a number of years. Last night I went after a break of a couple of years with two work colleagues.. 1) It was very obvious that they were understaffed. The table staff did their best but they were unable to cope with the demand so we ended up waiting.. 2)... More

We stopped by for evening snacks and beverages and enjoyed ourselves. The Assortment Charcuterie and Cheese Board was packed with tasty goodies, while we devoured every last soul swimming in the broth of our Poulette mussels. The beer was poured with care and in typical fashion, the head was lopped off with a metal blade. Overall, a nice place to... More

It had been some time since we last visited this cafe and were disappointed with its decline in food quality. We both had mussels in a hot pot with chips in a basket. They were tasty but were the smallest mussels you could possibly ever have. We felt like we had a lunch of chips, so small in quantity were... More

Last went here a few years back, it was for dinner and super busy, and really slow service.. BUT went back for late lunch this Saturday just past, no issues with service and Pot o Mussels was delicious! AND the chips that accompany it. Oh and the starter of Asparagus with Hoegaarden sauce was very tasty too! Definitely will be... More

I am not a usual fan of mussels as I find them having powdery aftertaste. However, upon recommendation from my friend, I went to Beer Cafe and had the best mussels ever! Once you tried their mussels, nowhere else can compare! I also had their steak and tried their beer too. Quiet place to hangout during weekday afternoon.

This place has one of the best beer collection in Sydney (out of the places i know)... The prices are pretty decent and the finger food they serve are awesome too. Perfect place for anything from afternoon drink to late evening drinks. I've been here many times since 2008 and the last time was during my last visit to Sydney... More
