Used to go here a lot for work lunches and it was great value with a great range of food. Went there today for the first time in a long time and was very disappointed - menu has completely shrunk and prices gone sky high. I chose an eye fillet, it was a small 180g piece and came with NOTHING... More

Went there today for lunch with my Son, encountered truly awful service. Left without being served or ordering. I was so looking forward to some decent beer and some mussels, but didn't get the opportunity. I won't be back. We entered the large open bar area, which was completely empty, the tables were approximately 1/3rd full with folk already having... More

I had had my doubts about the Belgian Beer Cafe - sounded too big and too flash, but expectations were wrong - it is big and flash, but not too much so, and the beer was great (excellent choices) and service great.

I went there twice. Once just for some beers. They have a nice selection of beers, but some of them are inexplicably expensive (AUD 30 for a La Chouffe??). The nest day I came back for lunch. And had the mussels. Average, at best. And crazy expensive. The bar itself is lovely, like an old fashioned brasserie in Belgium. The... More

This is a favourite place, and the ambience here is great. Amazing beer which you would expect, but also expect to find perfect mussels and the best chips you'll see anywhere

Me and few friends went to Belgian Beer Café on Friday evening, around 6pm. We did not have booking but it was not a problem. There were just few people next to the bar and only one table taken at the restaurant section. We got table straightaway. We have order some beers to start with. Time to order something to... More

Came here on Wednesday as recommended by a friend. Cheap mussels! We ordered 1 portion each. It was too salty to our liking that after the meal lips felt wrinkled - normally would get this kind of reaction when too much ajinomoto used. The service was terrible! We came early around 7:15pm but we made a booking at 7:30pm. The... More
