The beer on tap is great, Leffe blonde is fantastic...and it better be for $11 for 300ml. Food is ok but again expensive ($35 for Clams). I would go back especially as I enjoy the beer....but not an everyday / every week place.

We stumbled upon this place on our tour of Sydney and really enjoyed it. Appetizers were tasty and wine and beer was reasonably priced. The history behind the café is interesting as well. The original staircase can be seen through the floor as you enter the café. Very relaxed and friendly bar!

Friends had recommended this café in the Rocks. My husband being Dutch we might have expected more beer varieties but it was not too bad and the menu - such as fish in Heineken batter, or mussels with blue cheese - was interesting. We were a party of five, and all our dinner choices were tasty. Luckily we had made... More

Nice food, loved the chips. The mussels are a must try! We ended up ordering too much because we didn't know the mussles came with chips. Seating was a bit of a problem because it seemed like everyone was too busy to sit us down at first.

As avid beer consumers, my husband and I were excited about the Heritage Belgian Beer Cafe. We were disappointed as soon as we arrived.... it is an absolutely huge cafe, but it was a ghost town.... we were the only souls in there.... there were burned out lights... every beer I asked for was out of stock, which was disappointing... We dropped by mid afternoon and although the drinks were good and the service was fine, it really wasn't happening on a Saturday arvo. Staff are in no rush so be patient. They are very friendly though. Toilets are clean and the beer is good. There are plenty of places with more vibe but this is fine if you're out... More

I have been a big fan of the HBBC for a number of years. Last night I went after a break of a couple of years with two work colleagues.. 1) It was very obvious that they were understaffed. The table staff did their best but they were unable to cope with the demand so we ended up waiting.. 2)... More

We stopped by for evening snacks and beverages and enjoyed ourselves. The Assortment Charcuterie and Cheese Board was packed with tasty goodies, while we devoured every last soul swimming in the broth of our Poulette mussels. The beer was poured with care and in typical fashion, the head was lopped off with a metal blade. Overall, a nice place to... More

It had been some time since we last visited this cafe and were disappointed with its decline in food quality. We both had mussels in a hot pot with chips in a basket. They were tasty but were the smallest mussels you could possibly ever have. We felt like we had a lunch of chips, so small in quantity were... More
