Makes me smile every time I think of this place. Crazy busy restaurant with swift service and awesome Chinese food. The suckling pig is a highlight. Dont miss the jelly fish sides yum!

We were invited to go to a friends Chinese Wife's birthday dinner here, we thought Chinese ordering in a Chinese restaurant how bad can it be? answer pretty bad,People were queuing up at the door to get in which also looked promising, they ordered stuff which I would never order in a million years like Grandmothers tofu ( it was... Not the cheapest place to eat if you are by yourself but this place is opened until 3:30am last booking. I have only ever had the beef brisket and turnip which I quite like. One of these days If I'm feeling rich I would like to try the 12 score Wagyu at $72 for 200g.

In the heart of Sydney's Chinatown, on the hill of Sussex St, there's a Chinese restaurant very different than any other around: the Golden Century. Two young ladies will greet you outside and take you to your table. Beware that this restaurant is always very busy and quite often there's a waiting period to be seated. Crowded with patrons of... Visiting from Brisbane we asked our taxi driver where was a good place to eat that wasn't far from our hotel. His suggestion, the Golden Century Seafood Restaurant in Chinatown. Harry your recommendation didn't disappoint. The place was pretty packed at 9pm with opening hours until 3.30am. We were shown promptly to our table and for the rest of the... More

The food is fabulous - really beautiful, and plenty of it. The space is noisy and fun. The service was okay but they mucked up our booking and the staff were really grumpy all night. We all felt as though we were somehow in the way. I wouldn't go again.

So fresh, their still jumping. We had the Salt & Pepper prawns, along with Fresh crab in Chilli sauce. Just the best. They have an extensive wine list. Service was efficient, attentive and the food delivered promptly. Service is a little impersonal as the waiters don't seem to engage with the customers, and this replicates my experiences in China. You... More

Of course it's an institution where celebrities dine hence it has developed a legendary status. However our experience was the food was just ok and the crab and lobster were vastly overpriced. Waiter service was typical of Asian restaurants in Sydney, they just throw it on and off the table. Finally one last gripe was the smell of the room... More

I was recently given the task of booking a Restaurant for an "old school girls" luncheon. A friend (a Chef) recommended Golden Century. I had previously eaten there years ago, and I was not disappointed (nor were my friends) at the quality of the food, presentation, service and the cost. Absolutely first class. One of my friends is going back this... More

A very large restaurant in the China Town of Sydney and popular with both locals and tourists. They have a good selection of wines and seafood both of which we ordered and relished. We tried a whole Barramundi fish steamed and prawns, vegetables rice and noodles and all the items were very tasty. The prices were not cheap but perhaps... More
