Staffs are good but not that kind. I think that it's kind of cultural difference since it's Chinese restaurant. And food is expensive. I ordered Labster sashmi, live Abalone 1Kg for steam, and a couple of other side dishes for 4 people. Cost was more than $600. Atmosphere is a bit fancier than normal Chinese restaurant. That's it. HOWEVER, food... More

This is one of the largest restaurants in Chinatown. There is a constant buzz, sort of like entering a beehive. Waitpersons in constant motion, conversations taking place all around. It is an experience not to be missed. The menu is lengthy, in a heavy book with illustrations of something like the meal, not guaranteed. The food is great! Once you... More

I remember having a few hour transit at Sydney airport, hopping in a cab and dining at golden century to enjoy their live seafood. I wouldn't bother again after our last visit. Live seafood was fine but other dishes were awful, kids described the combination fried noodles 'looked like snot' (after we left the premises, they weren't being rude because... More

Golden Century in Sydney Chinatown is an institution. Its one of the few places open to the early hours of the morning. Many of Sydney’s top chefs go there after their restaurant has closed to chill, have a beer order, peking duck, pippsi in XO sauce. Those who enjoy fish, lobster crab, prawns, eels live from the tank then this... More

Sadly this one of the few restaurants in Sydney that serves good food is open really late. Happily , it's always good quality (and you'll always get a solid feed!). I've frequented the place plenty of times after most others stop seating you at about 10pm to enjoy a big Chinese meal and bottles of wine with friends. It's a... More

Went for a nice family dinner only to be greeted by absolutely terrible customer service. After paying we were then instructed on how to leave a tip and when we didn't our sever threw the pay book on the table and was extremely rude! Food was average. Would not recommend.

Read great things about this place but now seriously doubt other diners' credentials. We were very disappointed by the overpriced and MSG ridden fare (see picture) we were rudely presented with. Arrived very hungry but only ate a fraction of it. Spring rolls nearly made me wretch. I eat out regularly and this is the worst meal I can recall... More

Food is bland and flavorless. We didnt bother with ordering mains as soups and entree was very ordinary. Also found staff to be short and abrupt. Pitty as this use to be one of our favorites

Went to the Golden Century Seafood Restaurant in Sydney with my wife for an experience. There is upstairs and ground floor dining but requested downstairs where the fish tanks are situated. The restaurant prides itself in serving you live fish you choose from the fish tank. The fish is weighed and brought to your table with the price for you... More
