Great location, views and decor

The atmosphere was fabulous, the waiters attentive (a little over attentive perhaps) and the food great.

@$300 a head was totally ripped off. Sweated through the meal which was average to say the most. Best part is they make no apology.

Sometimes you wish you had paid closer attention to fellow Tripadvisor reviews. Despite the very varied experiences of fellow reviewers we decided to give the Flying Fish the benefit of the doubt. The restaurant repaid us with a very poor experience. Firstly the location. It's at the end of a pier which seems to be totally soulless. At night it... More

We traveled from Brisbane for a formal birthday. We have checked this restaurant review & it said , A Dinning Experience . What a joke. It is very basic, the service very slow. We had a party of 30 people & only 1 waiter was serving drinks & taking orders. .. The fish was very nice but nothing special, just... More

The Flying Fish experience left our party of four feeling it would be better named Flat Fish, or even just Fishy!. Access to the restaurant is difficult. If travelling by car you're expected to pay $25 for parking at the wharf or face a long hike. That's just the start of a costly visit! We'd asked for a table with... More

I have been here for work lunches a number of times, however my wife had never been and so we went for her birthday with our two girls. I would not usually take our children to a restaurant like this but it was a special occasion and it is good training for them!! The set out of the restaurant is... More

This was my third visit, all three times I have had the barramundi, always top quality and accompanied with the thick cut chips, perfect combination. The location and restaurant are perfect

I booked Flying Fish for a board event for 12 diners on a Thursday night in the semi-private dining room. The room was well set-up and we had our own space, which was tucked around the corner, but not particularly private or quiet. The service was good, but patchy, with some guests not being offered a drink for the first... More

We were bitterly disappointed by the food and service. We had to ask the waiters at least twice for things and the food was very average for what you pay for - and not to mention that two items we ordered they were out of. The soft shell crab 'sushi roll' was yuk..... No flavour, the seaweed was tough to... More
