I love this place!

I adore Capitan Torres. We have tapas here every chance we get. The staff are lovely and the food is delicious. Sit at the bar, sip a sangria, and try everything. I especially adore the chorizo in red wine, soaked up with some bread. Marvelous!

We dined with 7 adults and a new born and the place was cramped when full of customers @ 9pm, not ideal but we wished to try the Menu Special from outside in being Suckling Pig! While we were jammed into the restaurant with others it soon filtered out as customers began to left close to 10pm. The service was... More

The suckling pig is yummy! I have eaten here before, the food has always been good, fresh hot bread. I Did ask the waitress for quality olive oil to go with my bread but only got the standard issue in their oil shaker. It was good but not the best. That is a very minor comment which is outweighed by... More

Good food and service. An old well established restaurant that does it well. Reasonable prices and interesting ambience.

We received very good and fast service after I said we were in a hurry. The Maitre D was charismatic but took too much control. We wanted Tapas but, to be fair, I didn't say that and did not realize some of the Tapas were also mains. We also wanted wine by the glass and he organized that but did... More

We entered a nearly empty restaurant across from our City Life hotel. The place had only one pair of customers, and we worried. But the maître d came and sold us a bill of goods that turned out to be an absolutely magnificent meal + perfect, wonderful wine to match. We had Spanish dishes and we had seafood. We shared... We would visit this restaurant again. We shared the garlic prawns in olive oil, garlic and chilli for entree and the paella for main. Both dishes were of high quality. The Sangria was really nice as well!! There appeared to be confusion however, amongst the wait staff, as to what dishes were to be served to what tables. However, check... More

Went with a bunch of the boys for a very merry night out as 2 of the group were heading to Spain that week. Good and attentive staff. Range of tapas was very good and woofed down in no time flat. Mains were generous to the point of being huge...but well, when in Spain and so we all gutsed out.... More

My wife and I first visited this restaurant back in the 70's, and for many years it was a highlight of our visits to Sydney, however, for a number of reasons, we haven't been here for years, so this week we revisited with a friend. It brought back many memories- indeed, the decor etc hasn't changed in all that time.... More

Staff are friendly and polite and the food was very tasty. Maybe not completely Spanish in authenticity yet certainly top quality. Grilled seafood for one was an extremely generous serve. Steak was beautiful and cooked perfectly. Grilled flounder was delicious. A very enjoyable dinner.
