Beside getting the booking wrong for 30+ people (but that was sort of sorted before the evening), the evening was marred by plenty of other things. The noise was unbelievable - you had to shout so that the person next to you could here you ... There were plenty of sore throats the next day. It was so packed that... More

I visit this restaurant. It is fun, young and has great atmosphere. The view of sunsets (and fireworks in season) are all part of my Sydney. The food is good, not brilliant, but I don't return for the food.

We had a business function there and the service was outstanding! As a gluten free diner, they went out of their way to provide me with some great food. The lamb salad with beetroot, pumpkin was simply to die for. They made mine without couscous. They also had a great gluten free pizza along with some other nibbles. The view... More

The food here is average, not amazing but not horrible either. It's in a good location though, especially if there's fireworks on. The service really let the restaurant down; it was really slow. We were seated at a table where we were getting wet from the rain and they had nowhere to move us to. So we kind of just... More

I've been to the Blackbird quite a few times over the years. They've always had good food, good beers on tap and not overly pricey, given you've got first floor views on Darling Harbour. It is always busy, and a taf noisy, but I've never needed to book, and always get a table after only a few minutes wait. I'll... More

Great cocktail specials and good food although food a bit pricey (but on par with other darling harbour restaurants). Good music. Sometimes a bit loud for table conversation if you are a nanna. My favourite place for a few quiet ones and catch up in Sydney CBD.

Friday night and VERY busy and noisy. That was OK as we had been there before. However, the lamb salad I ordered was 99% baby spinach and when I told the waitress she just looked away and removed the plate. My husband's burger was great and as I said we had been before but the service was terrible. To cap... More

We had chicken burgers with raw onions - wasn't expecting that. Fries supposed to be thyme- salted, came plain. Lamb risotto tasteless. Bar is nice, music at just the right volume, great friendly service, views fantastic. Our food - not great!

Very busy with so many "hen" parties, the background music was very much foreground music and it was difficult to hold a conversation. Service was good though and the food was excellent. Good range of beers and wines, and there was a good view across Darling Harbour. We visited again in the daytime, a more pleasant experience.
