Champion of native ingredients

Went here for dinner with a friend as was impressed with the array of native Australian ingredients on offer. Try the lilli pilli non-alcholic spritzer - delicious! This is a great choice for vegetarians - my veggo friend had no trouble finding a heap of things she wanted to order. The space is... read more

We had a great night, 6 of us for a work dinner entertaining an international colleague. We expected and welcomed busy hustle and bustle and were not disappointed. We were pleased we booked and arrived early as the restaurant soon filled up with a queue, which is thoughtfully placed inside the door - with drinks service whilst in the queue... More

Booked for 6 , but our other couple were delayed, so worried we would be out by 7.45. No problems, dishes arrived promptly but not rushed despite the restaurant being extremely busy. Staff were friendly and helpful with chosing dishes - ordered too much but managed it all, so no room for desert. Only problem was the size of the... More

Braised wallaby tail and crispy skinned duck served in less than 15 minutes. The frenetic pace can be a little disconcerting. We had just sat down, the menu and wine list given and before we even had a chance to read the wine list a waiter tried to take it away under the apparent assumption we did not want any... More

What a fantastic experience, the standouts for me were the dumplings and wontons plus the saltbush and her signature duck dish. It's all about flavour and balance. The attention to detail is amazing, where else do you get a choice of tap water flat or sparkling.

Table for 4 at 6pm on Anzac day Saturday evening - early to work in with the time difference between Sydney and NZ - so 8 pm our local time. Booked early and pleased to get a table - had an email the day before to confirm the booking and surprised when it stipulated that we were expected to be... More

Since returning from a long trip abroad, there have been a number of new restaurants open in Potts Point. We'd heard a couple of reports from friends about Billy Kwong that weren't entirely enthusiastic, about the wine list or space. However, we were absolutely delighted by every course we ate, and found the wines interesting and space comfortable and aesthetically... More

VG initial service deteriorating. Table far too small for 4. Uncleared rice on table for much of meal. $48 Duck luke warm. Yabbie meat in deep hiding. Last 2 main courses came at 7.35 - sitting ends 8. San Choy Bow wet and watery.

There was a specials menu last night that featured crispy skin duck in orange sauce. Words cannot describe this dish. We ended up ordering another serving. The other dishes were also extraordinary--the flavours perfectly balanced. Wait staff are well trained and a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

I went twice within my five days in Sydney. I hadn't expect a lot in Cantonese cuisine in Australia but i was out of my expectation. U must try the duck. I ordered worm fry rice accidentally without knowing there's worm inside ! But once u tasted, u will definitely love it!
