Love this restaurant. Great atmosphere. We come here often as my dad knows the chef. Food is great! Great location.
Ashiana used to be our favorite restaurant years ago. It is a bit more dated now, and some locals I've talked to avoid it because of encounters with the odd roach and so on. The food is still really good though, and I've had some of my best Indian food in Ashiana. My favourite dish is the dal makhani which... More
Service, food and price are great. Lots of vege choices. Decor is pretty good too. I wish they had a balcony but given the small space, they have done a great job. I've been there twice and will go back.
Just took my parents here and very glad I did. Being of Indian descent we are always expecting something outstanding from Indian restaurants and we've tried many over the years. Ashiana is one of those places you see all the time but never go. Well, you should. The entrance and decor are what you would expect from an Indian restaurant... More
Great food here but bit over the top on the dollars for take away. This one is in the suburb of Manly so the address is slightly incorrect above.
The Indian food is never bad and sometimes very, very good. The price is right and it is BYO wine. The atmosphere is certinly nothing to write home about but ist the service that let;s the place down. the floor staff are inevitably backpackers and they often have only rudimentary English so ordering can be an ordeal. On top of... More
We like coming here. The food is always nice. Love the mango lassies though they aren't cheap. They are hidden but not hard to find.
I've been eating here for years and have seen numerous owners and chefs during that time. I've done "date nights" there, I've taken business clients, groups of friends and overseas visitors and never had a bad meal or poor service. I guess others feel the same way as it is always popular even during the week and during winter. I... More
Lovely authentic food here. Service not so great - I think they use inexperienced back packers & owners were telling them off in front of diners :( Waiters removing food and items from us before we'd finished. Chef was very obliging for a friend of mine with special dietary requirements & even came to check how the food was for... More
We stopped by this restaurant during our recent trip to Sydney. It's located just steps from Manly Beach. The food was great - we had the butter chicken - which was delicious and also malai kofta. This was recommended by the Frommet's Sydney guide and we're definitely glad we went. Service was very good and friendly. Highly recomended!
