Subtle pirate theme'd, cocktail slinging, Rock n' Roll watering hole.We can be found at an unmarked wooden sliding door at the lower end of Foveaux Street in Surry Hills. No X marking the spot, so if you find it, half the battle has been won! Venture in you'll find the bartender's slinging cocktails behind a large wood panel fit out playing rock n' roll and blues. There's a large array of spirits including barrel's of home spiced rum, singapore sling's and sherry. And if you're just looking for a quick beer/cider, you'll find beers selected from our bartender's favourite local brewery's...

Warm dark wine hideaway in Surry Hills

In trendy Foveaux Street Surry Hills is this hidden wood crafted wine bar. Hard to find by design. Unique, exclusive, a tad expensive. It's for certain people who admire the best things in life, and dress accordingly. Great international wine selection and I loved the cheese platter. Some don't... read more

Great place to while away an afternoon, wide range of interesting and unusual cocktails, all well made and with quality spirits. Table service was great, very attentive and responsive. Reminiscent of an old school American bar with lots of booths.

I loved this bar, from the moment you walk in its dark and atmospheric, the bar looks great and the service matches it. The bartender greeted me as I walked towards the bar and I had a glass of delicious sangria in my hand within a few seconds. The booths are great, fit 6-8 people and the long high table... More

Having been to many of Sydney's much hyped bars and been disappointed, Button proved to be a hidden gem in Surry Hills. The real credit goes to the staff who were welcoming and friendly. A definite new favourite.

I'm a huge bar fan and finally decided to write a review on a bar in which I expected more. Sadly my first review has to be on a rather negative note. I love Stitch and Pocket and I heard Button was part of that group. Just moved into the Surry Hills area so I thought I'd give it a... More

Cool little trendy bar. Dim lighting and if you blink you might miss it on the street. Has an American prohibition bar feel to it. Good selection of cocktails but can get very crowded very quickly as it's quiet small. Good for after work drinks with friends.

I loved this place, it's a kind of pirate/ Rum bar but a cool one, it's fun, they've got a huge selection of rum, a massive cocktail list. Highly recommend it!

It's a bar. That's about it. Raucous, tacky and very loud 80's rock... (that's probably considered 'retro' by the kids of today). Any conception you might have of a swashbuckling pirates den evaporates the moment your assaulted by the cheap 110 decibel pub music on entry. Flanny wearing glassie kept stealing our glasses of water from right under our noses,... More

This place is tiny. A few booths, a long communal table in the centre, and the bar. Dimly lit and with a "pirate" theme, it very much reminded me of Stitch Bar (I believe by the same guys). The music was non-stop blues (love!), and the waiters and bar staff were friendly. With your drink you are offered free pistachios,... More
