Nice Roof Top

Not the typical roof top bar I was expecting, more a room on the top of a hotel complete with walls and then the roof taken off, however it was nice, music was relaxing and drinks selection was brilliant - Would go back

It's reasonable pub grub. Burghers and hot dogs etc. The rooftop bar is nice but busy. Service can be inconsistent too.

Visting Sydney for a long weekend. We picked this place because its close to the hotel and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. Can't believe there were so few people dining here. Good food, good service - our waitress was friendly and very well trained. Next time I visit Sydney, I'll come back here for a meal. There is... More

For a special occasion or to impress someone this is the place. The top floor has an open deck for a drink, can be a little packed on a Thursday or Friday night. Lots of suits. The restaurant is located on the 2nd level. It's a plesent change quiet compared to the noise upstairs and delightfully silver service. The menu... More

A top restaurant for a business lunch. Sometimes noisy, but always good service and good food. A popular place for stockbrokers and fund managers. We had excellent corned beef and a good bottle of chianti and enjoyed our meal.

Must have a steak, and the Brussels sprouts, and a good look at the wine list for a good robust red to have with your steak. Of course try the beer which is straight from the brewery with no preservatives and no hangover 'guaranteed'. Great for a business lunch

Went here with my wife recently - mostly because it's close to my office. However, a great spot. It was a Thursday evening and place was heaving. Beer cold and snacks good - highly recommended.

Located on the top floor of this landmark Pub, the Republic dining room is a comfortable relaxed (if sometimes slightly noisy), lunch venue. The food is of an extremely high quality with just the right number of options for both Entree and Main Courses. While some may describe the fare as Blokey (Schnitzels the size of a Plate, and always... More

Although they had a lunch rush and burnt my burger :( it was still a great stop to rest up and grab a bite to eat and a beer and watch the rush of people pass by. Odd shaped corner building caught our attention to the place. Was worth stopping and checking it out.

the bar staff didnt know if food was available on the 2nd floor....they misspelt the name of the food on the blackboard......we were the only ones eating from the "barfood menu" on the 2nd floor. Flat head and chips....came with a plate full of thin cut re-cooked chips and over cooked greasy flathead....nothing green in sight....only redeeming feature the tartar... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
