Gorgeous presentation

Pretty pricey but the service and food was top notch, so you get what you pay for. Presentation of meals was excellent and the meals were tasty. The setting is suitably moody and low lit.

Let's start with it took 23 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge I existed and inquire if I'd like a drink. As a guest at the attached QT hotel, you'd think they'd fall over themselves attempting to provide extraordinary service. Not so. I ordered a bottle of house white wine, then my dinner - Pan fried snapper & side of... More

The food was quite good but no better than considerably less expensive Sydney eateries. My fish pie was pleasant but a bit bland. The service was slightly disappointing with one of the sides delivered after I had finished my main course.

Had my 40th birthday dinner here and can I say geb food atmosphere and selection of beverages was amazing. The service was outstanding all the waiters were professional understood the menu and we're constantly around. Wonderful experience would certainly recommend.

Ate here when we stayed at QT. Fantastic food and one of the best waiters i have ever been served by. Great decor. Huge food and drink selection. A little pricey but well worth it.

Went here late on a Saturday night and had a great cocktail with my Wife. Stylish décor in the bar and a lively atmosphere and crowd. Would be a great place to start or finish the evening, or stay for dinner and the long haul.

Always busy, always buzzy - gotta love Gowings Great food and ambiance. I love the line caught snapper with lemon butter sauce but the tuna nicoise is really tasty too Great for couples, friends or business, lunch or dinner - always good

We went there for a work dinner, there were 15 of us, in a private room with a set menu. The appetisers were small and a bit disappointing, however the mains compensated for it. Overall the food quality was excellent as well as the wine selection. Great vibe and great food. We decided we will go back for a private... More

I really enjoy dining at Gowings. Today I went for the first time for lunch, but I'm a regular for breakfast - every Tuesday morning with some work colleagues. The first thing you notice is the decor and atmosphere. It uses things from the past - old suitcases, telephone boxes, etc - to create a very funky, creative, colourful environment... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
