I took my husband to celebrate his birthday on a Monday evening. The restaurant was packed, but still the service was excellent, the ambience modern and inviting and the food...the food was exquisite. Big thumbs up for the ceviche sashimi, and the kobe wagyu, both just melted in your mouth, so delicate but full of flavour. The spicy edamame and... More

I visited this gem of a restaurant with three friends on the recommendation of a relative. Whilst I'm not a big fan of The Star casino (pales in comparison to Crown in Melbourne!), Sokyo is a brilliant addition to the complex. We were all a bit clueless with the menu so we let the waiter guide us. He was very... More

This was the most wonderful Japanese food I've ever eaten. It was an experience that I will never forget and hope to enjoy many more times in the future. The service was perfect. The food selection suggestions by the wait staff were perfect. The food literally melted on your tongue. Please enjoy this place just as we did. Thank you... More

My partner surprised me with a date to Sokyo for my birthday and we had enjoyed dining here very much. Our waiter was so lovely, always in reach and never hesitated to assist us with anything we weren't sure of. I love when wait staff are knowledgeable with their work, from food to drinks. He did well with recommending a... More

The food was delicious but the portions are very small and very expensive. Expect to pay $20 per portion and go through several portions to feel full. If your loaded with $$$ then come here.

I love Japanese food and had not really heard much about Sokyo, which is so surprising. Yes, it was pricey compared to most other Japanese restaurants, however I have never had sashimi fresher. Look forward to visiting again.

For a la carte Japanese, sokyo is my only choice for great consistent dining. Please try the Wagyu 9+ ribeye 800g ( great for sharing for at least 3-4 diners). Exquisite, tender, melts in your mouth. With four dipping sauces. Sashimi platter is a staple choice with 24 delectable pieces of fresh seafood. Stunning presentation. It was truffle promotion so... More
