We came on a Tuesday night for a family farewell. From the decor, service and presentation and flavours of the food, my entire family enjoyed every bit of our dining experience. I'm a huge fan or omakase (chef's selection) for our kaiser style meal. The wait staff were attentive without over doing it, and the pace in which the food... More

The seafood here is amazing and I thought the service was great as well. The sommelier picked a great wine for us and I will definitely go back. I really enjoyed the miso cod and salmon sashimi. Totally worth the price!

Last night, we were seated at a table right in front of the washing/cleaning room and that already set a disgraceful mood for the night. We asked to move tables but were refused. Usually we come here for the melt-in-your-mouth wagyu beef tataki which has been amazing the previous few years. But last night the presentation of the tataki was... More

Family of five grown ups started our lovely evening at Sokyo with drinks at the elegant bar adjacent. This is the downstairs area of the Darling, the more upmarket hotel in the Casino complex. Table ready on time, we spent a few moments perusing the menu before our lovely waitress Genie suggested she put together a menu for us, based... More

I have to start by saying that I am not a huge fan of Japanese food, I think one to many bad experiences at sushi train and the like. So I was blown away by how much I loved this restaurant. The seafood is exceptional the beef delicate and the mix of modern and traditional just mind blowing. I went... More

Although i personally prefers traditional Japanesefood, i must say the food at Sokyo was excellent. Most of the fish were from Australia, very fresh and quality. The cod was amazing - probably the best i have had so far. Also loved their Get their crispy sushi, omakase, and desserts! Check my food blog for the entire review with pictures and... More

This is a Japanese restaurant. The food was good, service was good but grossly over priced. The ambience was dark and music too loud. Must book.
