Flawless

We had a faultless experience at Sokyo. The staff were all attentive and lovely and the food was out of this world. I couldn't recommend it more. It's also fairly reasonable for a high end restaurant. They really celebrate the flavor of local produce and traditional flavours

My husband works at the star and was raving about how great Sokyo is, I am not a huge sushi fan but he is so I gave in one night and we booked Sokyo, well wasn't that a blessing in disguise! We have now been about 6 times in the past year and it is always on our restaurant choice... More

Came to sokyo on the background of rave reviews as a top place for japanese food in sydney. Of course it aren't true at all.. If you have a palate for taste, try the premium blue fin tuna…i am not wanting you to try this expensive dish..it was the rice that made the difference. You can actually taste that the... More

more hot items would help a ton, as would more attentive coffee service. for the money it was fine but not great.

went there for drinks Nice cocktails with a japanese twist there- not the usual suspects so more adventurous ordering required. You can still get the usuals but where is the fun in that? long sake list available not too loud or too crowded with no offputing music in the background- a perfect haunt for all those wanting a nice quiet... Based on all the current reviews our experience was the exception... The food was mediocre. Service was ok though the greeting and interchange with the host was odd. Unfortunately will not be returning here. My wife and I both got sick.

I am a uni student so coming here is way over my price limit but in saying that the food was sooooo amazing! You have to order a few dishes to fill up though. The staff weren't very friendly, and non attentive. But I'm only criticising the food and the food itself was amazing. Have the scallops main, amazing!

All the dishes came as described with the perfect balance of flavor working together to create some amazing food. Every dish was on point from the sashimi, main course to the dessert. Thoroughly enjoyed by both couples. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a nice Japanese experience whilst in Sydney.

Went there for a family meal and found the restaurant really busy but still offering great food. Every dish was well presented and placed on the table accompanied by an explanation of what it contained. Service was great. The menu was excellent particularly the fish and the oysters. We will go there again.
