The Best!

We always enjoy our meals at Sokyo. Kingfish Miso Ceviche, Moreton Bay Bug and Kurobuta Pork Belly are a must try on this menu. Service is excellent and I enjoy being able to see the chef's work.

Sokyo Hipster style has both good and very bad...Had the free several days ( darling hotel guest). Was quite good but nothing spectacular. I'm not a breakfast guy so it didn't really impress me...standard sorta buffet & a few grill items with some asian flavors. What did impress me is the great service and positive attitudes from servers to hostess/mgr.... More

6 of us was there for dinner on a Monday night , food was really top, but afraid to say that the service was not up there at all , a little bit disappointed with it , we have been there many time and each time the service is from bad to worst, I wonder what is the problem ,

The curry was super nice, to my taste. The traditional Japanese breakfast with edamame was a bit plain though...

Beautiful food however the staff and service was an embarrassment. The most rude and unfriendly waiters/waitresses. Receiving a glass of water was like pulling teeth. Very embarrassing when trying to entertain visitors from interstate. The two star i am giving is due to the fabulous food and atmosphere of the restaurant, otherwise not impressed!

The ambiance of Sokyo is unmistakable as soon as you walk through the door. You are greeted by a dark, moody bar which leads itself around into the restaurant itself. This place is truly amazing. The cocktails from the bar are truly delightful, with clever and creative staff to match. Do not miss out on trying one of the delicious... More

We thouroughly enjoyed our breakfasts there while staying at the hotel. The food was of outstanding quality and Mr. Alex and his team were extremely friendly, always smiling and very helpful.

I went for lunch with friends on a Saturday. I don't usually eat Japanese but I really liked the food. They have a set lunch menu that you can have and you can choose three different dishes and they come with salad and miso soup. However one of the dishes is sashimi and I didn't want it but they would... More

Hit this place for a date, thinking that it would be a great Japanese restaurant. Well, the restaurant part is true. Maitre D spoke not a word of Japanese and acted holier than thou, the most authentic was the sushi and sashimi. Most of the other dishes were western with asian ingredients. Don't get me wrong the food wasn't bad,... More
