I was lucky enough to have the experience of dining at Sokyo, and given the number of restaurants in this area, what a great choice. Chef Chase Kojima comes to town via the infamous Nobu. Booked online for pre show dinner. 530 and 545 options at 55 dollars per person plus drinks. Excellent selection of drinks. Three courses all delicious - beef, prawn, scallops, salmon, ribs and cuttlefish. Perfect service from drinks to food. Plenty of time to get to show and short walking distance to lyric theatre. Best Japanese food in Definitely going back... More

Sokyo was a fantasic dining experience. Everything I had heard and read was justified and I was amazed at the final bill - I had expected a much higher price tag. That, combined with the delicious food and excellent service will have me coming back many times.

Had been willing to come here for a while with high expectations. Tube sashimi perfect, pork belly skewer melted in your mouth, but the only disappointment was the wagyu ribeye. At $130 we expected something amazing, but really it was just a decent price of rib eye steak that you would pay $30-$40 at a steak house. We were redeemed... More

We always enjoy our meals at Sokyo. Kingfish Miso Ceviche, Moreton Bay Bug and Kurobuta Pork Belly are a must try on this menu. Service is excellent and I enjoy being able to see the chef's work.

Sokyo Hipster style has both good and very bad...Had the free several days ( darling hotel guest). Was quite good but nothing spectacular. I'm not a breakfast guy so it didn't really impress me...standard sorta buffet & a few grill items with some asian flavors. What did impress me is the great service and positive attitudes from servers to hostess/mgr.... More
