Lured in by an older lady (owner?) that promised a special price and good seating, this restaurant was truly delightful. The service was fast, the food was spicy and reasonably priced (for Sydney) and we had a lasting memory of superb Sydney.

This place is probably the best thai you can get in the CBD her in sydney. There is always a wait to get in, but this is simply proof of the amazing food you will experience inside. The food comes out very fast after ordering, and is ALWAYS excellent. Service is fast and efficient for the amount of people in... More

Long queue to get in which is always a good sign. Howevere, the queue moves quickly so no issue. Curry was incredible, would totally recommend

Home Thai makes the 28 hour flight from Toronto to Sydney worthwhile! Every dish they make here is close to perfection. Perfect amount of spice, great taste, expertly prepared. I only wish they were closer to my home... But the distance keeps it special every time :-)

I used to live in Bangkok, and this restaurant was reminiscent of so many good restaurants in Thailand. Fast service, slapdash, noisy, friendly, tasty and spicy. A great drop-in before a show, but next time will linger longer. Loved it!

Slow cooked chunks of beef falling apart. The flavour was intense! One down point was the duck salad.. too spicy yet not hot enough. Tasted a bit dry in the mouth. Everything else was exceptional. No wonder there was a line up out the door!

Ever since this place opened they have been drawing the crowds and this mid-week night was no different. You take a number and wait. While you are doing that it is fantastic to watch the very organised cooks in the street-side kitchen preparing the meals for the masses. We had a table upstairs and the staff pleasantly and efficiently provide... More

Usually eat at the Chinatown one, but being renovated. This was just as good although busier. The food all comes at once, I'd prefer it staggered, entree first! Service busy but serviceable. Cheap as, and good Thai. I'll come back.

We took in Home Thai on our last visit on the recommendation of more than a few locals. Wow-and did not disappoint. The food was tasty and amazing...and FAST! We must have been lucky on our timing-no queue...no wait, and our food was there within a couple of minutes-literally. We will definitely be back.
