This restaurant appeared to be welcoming when we first arrived as guests of our Sydney friends. The entrees were quite interesting and served promptly. The mains were uninspiring and the truffle risotto was bland. The portions were generous. The lingering memory however will be the debacle surrounding the serving of digestivi. One "amaro" was appropriately coloured brown, the other was... More

The combination of great food, excellent service and the warmth of the reception from the proprietors and staff make this restaurant a necessary experience. Don't be fooled by the photo on the page because it is NOT a photo of Il Buco at Enfield

Last minute call late night and we ended up here, we were pleasantly surprised the food was amazing the staff very good, very accommodating and went the extra mile, they were very busy but you were still attended to promptly. Meals are large servings and great selection available. reasonably priced Great wine selection to accompany the food.

The food was fresh and tasty. We thought the menu was good with some traditional favourites and some interesting specials. The fig and prosciutto entree what a combination and I thought the Gorgonzola gnocchi was delicious. We were too full for desert but the table to us left nothing but empty plates. The staff were very helpful and professional we... More

This place looks nice, seems clean, but when I visited I encountered the most unfriendly staff I've ever met in my travels. Rude and aggressive manager, interferring, sarcastic and pushy waitress. This critic certainly won't be reviewing them favourably in columns now, and I will never return. The Fawlty Towers style experience left me choking back laughter as the supercilious... More

We recently visited Il Buco while in Sydney for a national Taekwondo competition. The staff accommodated 35 of us within half an hour of us taking half over the restaurant. The food was amazing and the service was very fast. Would love to visit again in the future

We had a lovely dinner a short time ago...the food was delicious and the service prompt and friendly. Entrees ... 3 of us had the stuffed zucchini flowers (yum) and we all nearly licked the plates clean !! The 4th had the whitebait fritters, which were also very tasty. Mains were all different...the veal saltimbocco, the veal with prawns and... More

Recently I was taken to il Buco, authentic Italian restaurant at Enfield in Sydney by a colleague. We had stuffed zuccihnis, proscuito and figs covered in a fantastic gorgonzolla sauce for entree. By this time I was in seventh heaven, My main of Veal Saltimbucca was excellent. Then by the time I had had the home made Tiramasu and coffee... More

If a restaurant can survive for over 10 years in the same location, and not being located in a suburban restaurant strip, then they must be doing something right. What drew us to the restaurant in the first place years ago (7 to be exact) was a friend telling us their sticky date pudding for dessert was very good -... More
