A reliable place for a great coffee on busy Crown St, where a good coffee can sometimes be hit and miss. Nice little corner spot with comfy seating, friendly staff and consistently good food.

i love surrey hills and this tiny café is in the middle of it. we only had coffee and waited a very looooong time for it to arrive, after being served the wrong order...i was not impressed by the service, obviously very busy. will try some other place instead!

We had a quick visit to Gnome before flying home. The food was delicious. The cafe is tiny, and the food is all cooked in the small area behind the counter! Surrey Hills is a lovely part of Sydney with many small bars and cafes - We'll definitely be back!

Had breakfast here last week, we ordered two large coffees and hunkered up in close quarters toa few other sunday morning diners. This place is tiny but have some on street seating. The breakfast board gave me food envy when i saw my neighbour had ordered it! Anything that comes with the homemade salsa will make you want to come... More

I used to live a stones throw from Gnome and would drop by most days for coffee or lunch or both. I've now moved to Darlinghurst and happily trek the 3km round trip for the best coffee, mixed juice (hold the mint) and breakfast in Sydney. The service is faultless and the staff are warm, friendly and attentive. I've been... More

Not only this place has extraordinary coffee, but it has got the type and quality of food unmatched anywhere else in NSW. Definitely worth a visit!

Is a small and quaint cafe. We started with some chilled rose wine, ordered 3 tappas: Salted Cod, a rice and avocado dish and the meatballs...all were delicious, but the cod was my favorite. The services was great, and the waiter was attentive...and the chef was not to hard on the eyes if you like your men with tatted muscles!... More

Went here when plans to go to "4 ate 5" across the road fell through because it was closed. The coffee was average (latte, flat white, cappuccino and espresso all tried between us), but the breakfast menu food was delicious. Breakfast boards were very generous, scrambled eggs divinely light and fluffy. The banana fruit bread was scrumptious, too. Will definitely... More

I'm serious.. I have lived in Sydney for 27 years ostensibly in the Eastern Suburbs and the CBD. These days since discovering Gnome quite some months ago now, I don't hesitate to head straight there (as I did again yesterday), when meeting a friend or friends for great coffee and a snack or for lunch avec Vino. The space is... More
