My only reservations were the service which was not very sharp and 'on to it' plus they only had very limited desert options on the evening we went. Otherwise tasty and great location.

Excellently prepared Vietnamese food, but be prepared to be rushed out. The restaurant may close at 10pm, but on several occasions I've seen tables are packed up by 9:30 and the staff urging patrons to pay up and leave. On one occasion, we weren't even allowed to order our mains. Unfortunately, poor service and being overly rushed overshadows the excellent... More

The food here is really good. It is Vietnamese but a little different to many Vietnamese restaurants I have been to. The duck spring rolls are gorgeous. It's in the busy part of Crown St but we went on Sunday night so managed to get parking OK. It's almost open air so might not be so great in the middle... More

The food here is usually nice and the street position with open doors on Crown street is attractive, there's a touch of authentic Vietnam. The tofu rice paper rolls were a bit dry but the mains were delicious. We were having a nice time and chatting and decided to order dessert. There were only three dessert menu items, two of... More

All the food tasted great, it's BYO, well priced and the service is very quick. The portions are reasonably large so don't go crazy as we had 3 entrees and 2 mains and weren't able to finish the mains (we tried and we wanted to). Nothing to fault, we left very satisfied. It's nothing fancy but everything you want from... More

We had not made a booking and arrived relatively early with our family group of five. Had two starters spring rolls and rice paper roles beautifully presented. Mains were equally well received a yellow curry medium strength, a pork dish and a chicken stir fry. Deserts were also well presented and enjoyed. All the above washed down with a Pinot... More

The food is rather simple (not overly complex or with lots of flavors competing with one another) and therefore each dish can be enjoyed on its own. We shared spring rolls and two mains and this was sufficient. Service was attentive (never ran out of water, for example). The place can get noisy, however, as they don't have many tables... More

Probably the best Vietnamese place in the Surry Hills/Darlinghurst hood. Food is really quite good and I have not had yet one real disappointment there. Often take there visitors and friends. Service is also attentive and good (and nicely unobtrusive). The one drawback: It can get pretty loud there - the acoustics are terrible -- when it is crowded. Oh,... More

The rudeness and arrogance of the owner manager told me I would never bother again! Food was nothing special and the banquet menu is not explained nor served evenly their were eight of us and some dishes were single and other doubled up!! ??? Then came payment , 6 of us paid cash and two had to use a card!... More

Staying in Surry Hills

Neighborhood Profile
Surry Hills

This neighborhood continues to distinguish itself as a shopping destination, offering the best collection of one-of-a-kind boutiques, designer brands and flagship stores in the city. Today, this area has evolved into a hub of media, design and professional services - a colorful and diverse place equally known for its antique dealers, art galleries, cafes and pubs. Strolling down the street on a Saturday morning, you’ll see a mix of students, artists, hipsters and a few all-nighters from Oxford Street, the “Gay Capital of Sydney”. In this vibrant neighborhood you will find bohemian chic and modern style co-existing side by side.
