Wonderful hospitality; lovely little local restaurant atmosphere (though nothing amazing about the décor at all) ... very friendly and all of that and probably very authentic ... SALTY ... everything was so salty (and I like salt) but this was over the top. I think it has a lot to do with the traditional 'preservative' dishes ... I loved the... More

From the outside it looks a bit run down but the food was fantastic - lots of flavour and very fresh. I will definitely go back

We arrived after a mix up in street names and we are glad we paid the extra taxi fee because the food and arrive we're amazing. The owner helped us find a cheap bus route back to our hotel :-) The food was amazing and the atmosphere was chatty and pleasant. Our favourite dust was the chilli and ginger squid...we... More

Had a fantastic meal last Monday night, it was so good we went back the following night. Was visiting Sydney from Noosa and only wish that Queensland could offer the same local gems.

Just had the noodle soup but it was like being back in Vietnam. Great flavours and portion sizes at a great price. The owners are very friendly and the atmosphere good. Book if planning on going on the weekend.

Ate there in a group of 10. The total bill was less than $200!!! The husband and wife owners are perfect and make you feel you are eating in their home. All the usual Vietnamese dishes but very fresh tasting. The black rice with caramelised banana is to die for!!

Absolutely love this place. Have been coming since we were kids and love how they have kept that family restaurant charm. Excellent Vietnamese food that is authentic, tasty and not pretentious. Just really great value. Restaurant is on the smaller side, so it is recommended to book or go for take-away. You will not be disappointed.

This place is a real surprise. Lucky Bronteites. This is a smallish place but with an authentic Vietnamese feel. The food was some of the freshest I have tasted with high quality ingredients.

We are also VERY frequent visitors to Uyen Vietnamese, especially on Sunday nights. We either go on our own, with our daughters or with friends. It's been our local favourite for about 10 years. It used to be in McPherson Street then moved to Albion. We jump at any other opportunity we can, to go there, as the food is... More
