Best Vietnamese in Easter Suburb

They have been there for years. The decor have has improved. The cuisine is excellent. Fresh, light and varied. The staff is very nice. Service is quick. It gets a little noisy if you go later.bits BYO

Uyen is a delightful, family owned and operated restaurant that's been a favourite in Waverly for years. My family and I have been eating here for almost 20 years ourselves, with Vee and her family providing beautiful food and warm friendly service all this time. After travelling through Vietnam and adoring it I was so happy to come home and... More

I took my parents here for a farewell dinner and what a great choice. Excellent menu, great service and far enough away from the CBD to relax. The marinated pork vermicelli was delicious and the curry tofu was enough to tempt the tofu-weary. It definitely has a roaring take-away trade. Fellow diners please remember to close the door when picking... More

Pronounced "ween", not yuen, located in a quiet part of the Charing Cross Region, opposite St Catherines School. , hawker-style menu, no frills but tastes superb & servings large. The ingedients are always fresh, very large prawns. The menu has been exactly the same in the about 15 years we have known them, but the restaurant is always full ,... More

We have been dining in as well as ordering takeaway from Vi and team for many years. The lovely fresh authentic food never disappoints. Our favourites are the prawn rice paper rolls, calamari, fish pot and the famous pork vermicelli salad. Easy parking out front as well as hospitable service makes us wish we dine more often then we do.... More

This is a consistently reliable little eatery serving delicious traditional Vietnamese food....no "fusion" or tricky modern deconstructed offerings here! It is a small restaurant, where bookings are advisable to secure a table. It isn't noisy, so you can meet and have a conversation whilst eating. I recommend the fried wontons, the lemongrass chicken, the saté prawns, the marinated fish in... More

Actually, the food is ok. I just realised I am not a big fan of Vietnamese food. But I will say that my entire family enjoyed it and the prices are great. Excellent value for money with great family style service.

I think I reviewed this last time I was here in Sydney but worth an update as things DO change. Still a great super friendly family run restaurant. We visited twice and loved it exactly as good as we remembered. Especially enjoyed the pancake from the specials board. Big enough for a main. Vegetarian spring rolls also brilliant. Visit. 20... Wonderful hospitality; lovely little local restaurant atmosphere (though nothing amazing about the décor at all) ... very friendly and all of that and probably very authentic ... SALTY ... everything was so salty (and I like salt) but this was over the top. I think it has a lot to do with the traditional 'preservative' dishes ... I loved the... More
