Tucked away on Kendall lane, the oldest laneway in The Rocks, The Fine Food Store has been a much-loved favourite of locals for over 10 years. Recently revealing its Brooklyn-inspired renovation, this cool and contemporary cafe offers a succinct menu of fresh and tasty offerings from braised-pork sliders to salmon gravlax with fennel salad. They pride themselves on the highest standard in coffee, from cold brewed to single origin espresso - to be enjoyed at a picturesque window seat or to-go when you're on the run. Now open nights, Weds to Sat from 4 to 10pm serving tapas style bar plates, select wine & tap beer.

Good lunch spot

Stopped here on recommendation of hotel Concierge. Well frequented by locals with a nice atmosphere. Excellent wraps and salads. Worth noting if you are looking round the Rocks area

Delicious wholesome food in a trendy - and clean - space in The Rocks. Try the muesli and fruit for breakfast; it will keep you going for your morning's exploration of Sydney.

My husband and I ate breakfast here on a busy Saturday morning and the experience was very pleasant. Some unique menu choices and variations on the regular coffee options make it worth a visit. Their Muesli by Farmer Joe was delicious, the breakfast panini adequate but the stand out for my husband was the Dirty Chai. Prices are average for... More

Now to be controversial, this cafe could be in Melbourne, it's that good. Great menu and super yummy breakfast (highly recommend the homemade baked beans - but be warned the menu doesn't lie that they are spicy. Real deal iced coffee - no ice cream or cream to be seen. Really reasonably priced as well.

We looked up breakfast places for Saturday morning as lots of places are closed in Sydney CBD. The Fine Food Store was excellent! Great service, great menu with lots to choose from, we shared two dishes, good size portions and great coffee. Funky atmospere

Went there for breakfast on a Sunday. Service was slow given the large clientele. We ordered a few coffees a mushroom and cheese toasty and homemade beans and eggs. The food took about 20 mins to arrive, then afterwards the coffees were delivered. Seemed strange to me but it was obvious from the service that they were struggling with getting... More

This is a typical all day breakfast cafe/bistro. It's a bit middle of the road, it's not posh , and the food doesn't wow. My croque Monsieur is a little on the small and underwhelming side. The rest of the menu didn't impress either, be it paninis or all the typical sides . Overall 3.5, rounded up to 4

Went after reading the trip advisor comments and can support what most of them say. Great atmosphere, great food, quickly served by attentive staff. We used it for all 5 days we were in the area and it's obviously used by sydney residents as much as visitors. Even a posse of local policemen call in for their morning feed, so... More

Visited a relative here and the next day we went out to go around places. This was the first stop and the moment I entered, I was glad that the place has a nice air to it. Quite simple and a bit charming in my opinion. The food here is oh so good as well. Presented in a way that... More
