Tucked away on Kendall lane, the oldest laneway in The Rocks, The Fine Food Store has been a much-loved favourite of locals for over 10 years. Recently revealing its Brooklyn-inspired renovation, this cool and contemporary cafe offers a succinct menu of fresh and tasty offerings from braised-pork sliders to salmon gravlax with fennel salad. They pride themselves on the highest standard in coffee, from cold brewed to single origin espresso - to be enjoyed at a picturesque window seat or to-go when you're on the run. Now open nights, Weds to Sat from 4 to 10pm serving tapas style bar plates, select wine & tap beer.

Breakfast and coffee.

Great coffee (soy piccolo) and perfectly poached eggs on their breakfast panini. perfectly balanced flavours with chilli jam and balsamic dressed baby spinach on the side. Would definitely come back again.

Great cafe right in the heart of The Rocks. Great atmosphere for brunch on a Sunday morning. Excellent coffee and delicious food. Menu has a lot of variety for both breakfast and lunch. Very busy so expect a little wait on food. Definitely recommend a visit even just for a coffee.

A must-try if you are at the Rocks. Organic cafe offering good selections of breakfast and lunch options. The coffee is AWESOME. I tried the flat white and spicy lamb with chickpea stew. Both are fantastic. A very nice sitting area both indoor and outdoor. A great place to hang out. But have to agree with many of the previous... More

Travelled from our hotel to check out this place for breakfast, the atmosphere is extremely busy (which shows the food is sought after). We enter, but not really greeted even with a smile from the chef which was clear in view. We were not greeted by a staff member and basically took our own seats and had to look for... More

It is obvious that the staff don't care. I felt like I was bothering the staff when I ordered, no one greeted us or even smiled. The food was pretty mediocre and the prosciutto was tough and very thick. For two meals and a coffee it costed us $26. The coffee was really good though. When asked if they take... More

The Fine Food Store is the local's spot for lunch and coffee but it's also great for some shared plates & drinks at night. Not only is it The Rocks' best kept secret (so you've got your choice of seats and can have that intimate conversation) it's also got a two for one happy hour from 4pm-6pm. My friend and... More

We stopped in after we received two separate recommendations for "a great place to get coffee" and we were not disappointed. We ordered lattes and a ham and cheese toastie. Coffees were made to perfection and the toastie was amazing. You could immediately tell the high quality of ingredients being used. Things were so good that we returned the next... More

Visited The Fine Food Store for breakfast down a cute alley way in The Rocks. The cafe is quaint, with great indoor and outdoor seating options with an open concept design. The menu has beautiful breakfast and lunch options for everyone to enjoy (vegetarian, paleo, etc..) to eat in or take away. The coffee is to die for too! There are... More

I managed to arrive in between services and even though they were still in staff change over everyone was very friendly. I had a good chat with the manager who had a good sense of humour and talked through the menu. I had pork sliders that were well seasoned and had some tasty crackling thrown in as well served with...
