Invited to breakfast by a Sydney local relative of ours, we did not know of The Fine Food Store even though it proved to be only a block from where we were staying in the Rocks. However it proved to be a great choice on their part as the food and coffees we were served were of a high quality.... More

We enjoyed our breakfast at The Fine Food Store so much that we came back the next day for brunch/lunch! By far the best value for money and highest quality food we found during our travels around Sydney centre. It may be a little tricky to find the first time you visit (it's on a little cobbled lane) but well... More

After walking down the little lane, to find this very modern/warming environment. Great atmosphere with a definite focus on coffee and fresh food. We arrived for a late breakfast but just missed out, with breakfast finishing at midday ( which is understandable) so we opted for lunch. My partner had a pulled pork roll with homemade appleslaw and baby spinach,... More

Brioche toast with honeycomb butter, caramelized banana and macadamia nuts is a must to accompany their great coffee.

After a tour we went there for lunch. The staff is very welcoming and the food is great. Coffee will take a while, but it is done with a lot of heart and perfect topping (crema on top of the coffee). It is not too expensive considering the fresh food and the location at the Rocks. Would recommend it unrestricted... More

I initially went in for a healthy museli breakfast but ended up having the croque sir which was delicious, but wished the bread had been toasted. Coffee was real good. Great way to start a day of walking & mooching.

A well deserved reputation. A cozy atmosphere, good homestyle food and great coffee. The only down side for us was being charged $5.50 for one poached egg?? Hopefully a mistake but it got too busy for us to hang around and question the staff. Not enough to stop us recommending it as a great breakfast spot.

A very well run store with exceptional staff and food to boot. Ask for the morning muesli, you will not be disappointed. Quite good price and great service from the staff.

Everywhere in the rocks is so expensive, I was so happy when we found this place. The service is efficient and friendly, the atmosphere is cool with a mix of people visiting. We managed to sit outside and enjoyed watching people pass-by while sipping a coffee and eating a gorgeous muffin or amazing granola, fruit and yogurt. They had a... More
