Budget eats in Sydney

Looked for a reasonable restaurant in Sydney and went here based on Trip Advisor recommendations. It's a bit strange as you walk in through a rather basic gaming area and the restaurant is located at the back. Food is good and not too pricey.

Went here for a work night out and the manager spoke to myself and a fellow colleague like we were members of her staff. If she spoke the way she did to us for leaning on a wall which had no sign to indicate that you were not allowed to lean on this wall I can only imagine what she's... More

The place is extremely spacious with lots of table room. The ever-smiling staff are quick to supply water and table service. The menus and presentation was easy to understand and the food was flavoursome and most reasonable priced

Ok so you walk in to what looks like the old floor of a casino, wide expanses and heaps of tables with a bar, then you see the restaurant at the rear. Had a lovely small meal of dried beef with dipping sauce then pork belly, washed down with a couple of beers. Nice aura, better than a pub meal... More

Friday nights are excellent -while waiting for your food they have an awesome happy hour frm 5-8pm. Lots of Pool tables and a huge dance floor. Place does get packed -I have not seen any trouble from patrons. Felt quite safe. Food is excellent. Food arrived hot and in a timely manner.

What an amazing place. We passed by accident and heard a lot of noise from the street which was coming from the top of the stairs. Decided to investigate and we're glad we did! Immediately got a table at the restaurant and ordered a red chicken curry and veg stir fry. Absolutely terrific. Great prices and bustling atmosphere, will try... More

Staying in Central Business District

Neighborhood Profile
Central Business District
The Sydney Central Business District is abuzz with energy. Power brokers run to and from high rise buildings and after-work drink places, high-end shoppers tour venues like the QVB, and fine diners frequent the many celebrity chef restaurants. For a dose of culture, walk to the NSW Art Gallery, or visit the Sydney Museum. To escape the hustle and bustle, reconnect with nature at the Sydney Botanical Gardens or picnic lunch at High Park. No matter your interest, be sure to check the full calendar of events hosted by the city, from the Sydney Festival in January to October’s Good Food Month at Hyde Park.
