The food was good they know how to cook seafood only complaint was the price of alcohol exhorbitant I decided not to have wine as at $50.00 a bottle and that wasn't top range just a bit expensive. The food was a bit overpriced to but it was good so no complaints there

We read lots and lots of reviews on this establishment prior to dining there and well, became somewhat confused. After having dined, prior to its closing, at Doyles on the Quay, we simply couldn't understand how such a prominent Sydney icon as Doyles on the Beach could be reviewed so up-and-down, good-and-bad, wonderful-to-poor. We found out. Due to their location... More

We were really looking forward to eating here after having had superb meals at Doyles at the Quay. Not in the same league. Our meal was on the table very quickly, too quickly, like maybe three minutes. The lobster was tough and bland, the rest of the food was not much better and except for the saving grace of the... Great location , you are paying for romantic sea-side location and food. Bit overpriced , but for my standard is still worth to pay for it and affordable. Order the Doyle' Fisherman Platter , all fresh seafood & the portion is really filling for 2 stomach.

The location of Doyles is wonderful. Great service. You are definitely paying for the location. The hot and cold seafood platter for two was ok and overpriced. We've had better seafood platters elsewhere and did not leaving feeling satisfied. Probably wouldn't dine there again

Went to Doyle's after reading in my Lonely Planet that it would be a shame to miss their super famous fish n chips. I hiked the area where the restaurant is located before finally making my way to the restaurant, so I had worked up quite the appetite. The atmosphere at the restaurant is quite nice, but a bit more... More

You pay for the location when dining here, the seafood is a good quality but it doesn't exceed expectations. The view on the other hand was lovely, and we enjoyed looking over the Sydney skyline sipping wine and catching up with old friends. Still a great experience but not a restaurant I'd go out of my way to recommend.

I must admit I had fond memories of this place from a previous time but I read the reviews of some and really wondered if I should go there at all. I am glad that I did - the location is just mind blowing and we had an ideal day with sunny skies and little breeze. The food was as... More

We had a good view from our table. We had a seafood dish for two which was a lot of very good food. My wife found a paper doily at the bottom of her drink; had a little problem with communication but they ended up not charging for the drink.
