Pricey!

Food is good, atmosphere also, but pricey. Had the pizza which was a little watery, but dough was wonderful and pizza had a nice rustic feel. The calamari, or side salads weren't up to scratch for the price. The crispy salmon perfectly cooked , tasty working well with the radicchio and orange... read more

I've been a regular at The Beresford for many years and a local for four, dining there at least once per week, if not twice. Over the past 12 months Management has changed, along with, it seems, the entire ethos of what made The Beresford a great place to go. The menu and its resulting food, if you can call... More

This was one of the highlights of my weekend out. A great hotel, large, classy, busy and a great spot for people watching and meeting. A large formal bar greets you as you enter this place, down behind this a dining area (with a separate bar) and out the back an awesome courtyard that was full with people having a... More

Unlike other Merivale locations, I was quite disappointed with the menu. We were 3 on a lovely autumn day and not overly hungry. The menu didn't seem to match the pub and the meals appealed to none of us. We ended up sharing some nibbles. The Sangria was excellent and the staff were efficient and friendly. The beer garden is... More

We liked the food, the drinks and the atmoshphere very much. We went there when we watched the Mayweather v Pacquiaio fight and for Anzac Day.

8 of us dropped in for a quick beverage before dinner on Friday night. Service was fast and friendly. We had a problem with our Margarita's. The first was served in an old fashioned glass with ice cubes. It wasn't great. The second one was closer to the traditional one that you would expect. This is a noisy city pub... More

Enjoyed my night here with old friends. The outdoor bar seating area is full of cool people enjoying a sunny Sydney evening. We used the bar near the front door as it was much quicker than the one in the middle of the pub/restaurant. I only found loos downstairs, and they were super swanky, actually thought they were one of... More

For a place that cost millions to renovate you'd honk they would do something about the disgusting upstairs toilets they smell gross, been to the upstairs venue 6 times and nothing had improved. Downstairs food is good, service is great the only other issue apart from stinky loos is the meat head security guards who ask too many questions. Great... More

I came here for a work function. It took a while to be served at the bar since it was a busy Friday night and the food was so-so (pizza and pasta). I am curious about the rest of their menu items though. They have a decent selection of drinks and their apple cider (on tap) was great. I'd probably... More
