We went on a busy day. Rolls, rice and Edamame were not fresh. Nice atmosphere. Would have expected more, based on TA reviews.

This is one of my repeat Japanese restaurant. Food, service (quick!) and price are terrific! You just need to press the order via screen and can see the progress of the order. If you want to taste real Japanese Izakaya food, this is the place to go!

I go every time I'm in Sydney from the UK, Great food and really cool way of ordering from a touchscreen at the table! Would recommend it as a must visit!

Me and my boyfriend decided to try Wagaya while staying in the city over the weekend. We've been to the one in Newtown a couple of times and the foods always been good there. However the experience we had at the city store was less then impressive. We arrived around 9pm and they didnt seem overly thrilled by the fact... More

Wagaya is a lovely Japanese restaurant in the heart of the tourist district of Darling Harbour. The restaurant itself is lovely with nice a nice ambiance and we were seated in a large booth with privacy screens making it a great place for conversation which is fairly unique for Japanese restaurants here. Food is ordered using a touchscreen device at... More

The menu for Wagaya is on a little touch screen on the wall next your table with an image and price for each item. You could easily over order on the meals so be careful and take your time. The food comes out relatively quickly so you can pace yourself. Everything tastes great and there's a big selection. Getting into... More

The food here is terrific. Not your usual sushi/sashimi. Lots of interesting hot food and different sushi rolls. It's very reasonably priced, too. We've never spent more than $110 between two of us, even with loads of sake on the bill! It can get booked out on Friday/Saturday so you need to book. Other nights we have just walked in,... More

One of my favorite sushi places in Sydney comes with a certain high tech Japanese feel to it with the electronic menus. Service has always been quick and efficient even when they seem to have a full house.

Had a lovely dinner at Wagaya. They know how to make sushi. It all tastes great and we also liked the meat options. The whole concept is also very good. Ordering via tablet and being able to do and see everything you ordered and the costs is really great. Would recommend this place. Eventhough we did not have a lot... More
