i love japanese! so on a recent trip for my husbands birthday to sydney i decided to let him try something new! oh man was he impressed. the touch screen ordering at the table was his favourite, making it easier for him to order at his own pace! the sushi was divine, so was the cocktails, soft shell crab and... A very interesting Japanese restaurant with a touch screen for ordering. The food was of excellent quality and very fresh. The speed with which it was served was amazing, and the staff very attentive. Two small minuses. The ding-dong artificial music would drive you absolutely crazy. The portions are quite small for the prices. On the plus side, they have... More

Quite hidden restaurant in the Asian quarter of Sydney. The menu features lots of sushi and sashimi, noodles and tempura. Prices are fair (approx 20-30 AUS$ per person). Sushi was very tasty, especially salmon. Maki were good but I didn't like the mayonnaise on top of them which spoils the flavour.

Unfortunately the ramen was completely overlooked and not tasty. Fast service tho. Nice interior, but don't expect real Japanese tasting food.

I think we were in and out within 40 minutes. Food was good, and delivered fast. The electronic order system was a nice surprise and actually kinda cool

For a reasonable price (and that's not a bad thing in an expensive city like Sydney) you get a well prepared sushi, everything is ordered through a touchscreen, no misunderstanding. Excellent selection of makis, seriously, this place is able to deliver quality at an attractive price tag.Worth a go for sure, dinner for two at 60$ approximately.

Was catching up with travel buddies and Wagaya was suggested. So we booked a room and took off our shoes and entered a new dining experience. All food was ordered electronically so no language barrier. Service was fast and friendly. Selection of meals was great and we ordered our share of most with special liking for BBQ scallops and also... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Tiger-flanked archways on Dixon Street mark the entrance to the “little Asia” of Sydney. A walk through Chinatown is a feast for the senses where aromas, tastes, sounds and visions of dancing tigers transport you to a different world. Chinatown visitors can expect a melting pot of Asian food at the neighborhood's specialty delis and groceries. From yum cha to handmade noodles, BBQ ducks hanging in the window to Asian sweets and bakeries, there is something for all tastes. Paddy’s Markets is the largest flea market in Sydney where you can find souvenirs, clothing, gifts and fruit and vegetables at unbeatable prices. At night, Chinatown comes alive with entertainment including theater, nightclubs and bars that are open until the early morning.
