A touch of class

From the minute you walk into this subterranean Spanish restaurant you can tell it's a cut above the rest. The food is fabulous and the ambience elegant. It's a great place for a meal after work or a special occasion.

We booked a table for 15 people for my birthday. We arrived and everything was fine. We went to order food and that's when the downfall happen. Several people ordered the grill rump and mixed meats which then the waiter brought out chips and salad and we didn't know who that belonged to and they didn't explainit went with the... More

Stopped in here before a show at the State and it was a great experience - will definitely be back. For starters I asked the waiter (Cristian) to recommend a drink and he said "trust me" and came back with an absolute winner. He was so friendly and attentive - we never had to try and get his attention. The... More

Went there last night for my dad's birthday and we all left there hungry ! We went for the $65 banquet which one would think was sufficient, when the bread and dips came out I thought ok, 2 olives per person perhaps the other dishes would be plenty, then came the calamaries- a couple of pieces per person- really? one... A Wednesday night trip down the stairs didn't start too well as it took quite a while for anyone to recognise we existed. However, once we were eventually greeted and seated things improved considerably. Four tapas plates and a seafood paella was more than enough to satisfy our table of three. The bottle of wine arrived promptly and the dishes... More

Wanted somewhere different to go for birthday & was not disappointed. The small sign street level doesn't indicate what is waiting below - a cross between NY and Barcelona urban chic. Lovely bar area and a large expanse for dining. You don't feel like you are on top of others. It was a Tuesday & I'm glad I booked. It... More

Came for dinner and the entrees were excellent - the combined meat platter with the Jamon pâté was outstanding - the croquettes were creamy and delicious. The paella was ok - great crust. A nice bottle of rose topped off an enjoyable night.
