Wonderful "playful" atmosphere. Not a typical stuffy and "blokey" steak place. Food is outstanding, staff friendly and attentive. Currently closed while they expand it.

Meat is very high quality. We both had a steak and it was tasty and well cooked. They also serve a very good bread. We also liked the location, few tables and fashionable furniture. As the staff knew we were on honeymoon, they offered us champagne while waiting for the dinner. If you want to eat good meat in a... More

I was taken to Mad Cow as a treat for Valentines day, from my Vegeterian wife!! Now that is Love!! It was absolutely fantastic, the staff were terrific. Sitting us down and explaining, which steaks are which, why they have different flavours and textures and what one would be best for me. I wasn't disappointed when the food arrived, now,... More

Saturday night set price menu means its not a cheap night, but food is excellent and the staff were really lovely and attentive. We ate late, so the doof doof music in the club next door was a bit intrusive.... but it's The Ivy so it's a club first, restaurant second at that time of night on a Saturday. Good... More

Saturday eve is a set price menu $80.00 for 2 courses and 1 side dish. Entre tasty but nothing special. 400g rib eye with a very small peppercorn sauce all on its own. Side of cauliflower. Free entry into anyone of the ivy bars which is the highlight if you want to party or people watch. Heaps of different bar... More

Went to Mad Cow with my two teenage sons who are great steak eaters, the steaks were great and reasonably priced, the atmosphere was great, we had a really friendly waitress which made the night even more pleasant

After some very dud places in Sydney what a joy to find this place. Service was great. Wine list great. Steaks that we're just absolutley fantastic. Not cheap but well worth the price. Ribeye on the bone awesome. Staff attentive professional would recommend this anytime. For a business diner with overseas guests try to book one of the few tables... More

I ate Friday night with work colleagues. The next door dance floor music intruded into the dining area and by nine pm the area was crowded and resembled a meat market. The fillet steak was acceptable but not exactly exceptional. The fig and beetroot salad was probably the highlight, although the vanilla slice was pretty nice. The service was memorable... More

Went here for what we hoped would be a nice meal on my boyfriends last night visiting me in oz. As soon as I left the restaurant, I needed to literally run to the toilet and was profusely ill several times until the meal was out of my system. they clearly served out of date meat / fish at overinflated...
