Nice comfy venue

Took my old mum to this cafe. It's a warm busy place and the musos were setting up. We had coffee, hot chocolate and hot chips. As there was nothing else savoury to eat. Then a glass of red for mum. Its a bit expensive and the savoury offerings were very poor. Otherwise the music made up for it.

Masquerades as an off beat suburban eatery....reality is expensive, poorly conceived food with an outdated 'old Australia' service mentality. Plenty of young healthy looking staff. They appear too concerned about themselves to offer good service to the customers. Maybe this is a Gen Y thing? This place needs a big wake up call - it could be so much better!... More

My first impression when entering this place was the warmth and the lovely atmosphere. As we were with a group of 8, our tables were nestled in the corner of the place which enabled us to talk without disturbing any other customers. We anticipated long waiting times due to previous experience of others in the group and therefore we pre-ordered... More

A bite to eat is exactly what is offered @ A BITE TO EAT. A long time GO TO place to meet mates or be alone when you feel like something interesting to eat. Different levels of seating encourages couch time if you are on your own or gathered around the laminex table in a group. The prices appear "PRICEY"... More

A group of us went there for breakfast this morning Monday 23 March 2015. I ordered the baked eggs. The eggs were rock hard and was told by the staff that this is how they always are. I know that they are baked in the oven and you have to watch them so that they are cooked but the yolk... More

I've been here many times before and loved it. Last night I went on a very restricted diet and they couldnt have been nicer. Put together a great dish for me without blinking. Fab service and lovely ambiance. A great girls' night out.

Had been there before and had to wait over 30 minutes for our meals. Went again today and after a 50 minute wait and after 4 tables who ordered long after us received their meals before us we had enough and left. We did ask after our meals and were told that they were under the grill and will be... More

Having food restrictions is not fun, but I can always trust the food at A Bite To Eat. They always have an interesting range of gluten-free cakes and make a great soy hot chocolate!

I love a bite to eat! The coffee is always perfect. The girls working there are fun. There's a back area for some Sunday morning sunshine or piles of comfy cushions for chilling. The food is always delicious and they are constantly surprising with their specials. The pizza on Wednesday nights is nice (just ask them to go light on... More

A well lived suburban little cafe. Those who wrote about it getting furniture off the tip completely missed the point. Staff let it down. Signs about children not welcoming in a suburb gentrifying and with a playground built to draw crowds. Food decent. Pricey perhaps. Wait times can be long and it always surprises me that they seem so surprised... More
