It was horrible. I ordered teriyaki duck and it was over cooked and burnt. Told the waitress and when we went to pay and the owners didn't care. DO NOT GO THERE. Unsure why this place is still operating, over priced for what you get.

It has been many years since I last dined at this restaurant (I am thinking at least 20 years). It used to be one of only 2 Japanese restaurants in Canberra, and I remember being blown away by the whole concept of Japanese food. Thankfully, Canberra's food scene has evolved enormously over the years, but I don't think that Shogun... More

I ate here many years ago and it was truely fine taste... nevertheless it was too expensive for a highschool student. Came back here again not long ago with a colleague for lunch for Bento. Everything was good except of our Tuna. It was clearly off, the colour had turned brown, it was slimy and doesnt smell too nice either.... More

Anyone who says this place serves 'authentic, delicious food' has never been to japan, or eaten in a true Japanese restaurant. The beef smelt rotten, the sashimi was days old and overall it tasted terrible. There are many more better places out there - iori, tasuke in the city, wasabi in manuka and Dickson, kokoro in gungahlin.

Love the food and gives you the authentic Japanese feeling. Great staff and entertaining teppanyaki.

This is a longtime Canberra favourite. Overlooking Garema Square this authentic Japanese teppanyaki restaurant offers excellent quality food and service at reasonable (by Japanese restaurant standards) prices. You can choose to sit at the teppanyaki table and be entertained by the chef or sit at a number of traditional floor tables where you sit on the floor and select from... More

The food was very nice although maybe a little pricey for what you get! We had the tepinyaki menu with seafood and we only got one king prawn, the chef is very entertaining and overall the food was tasty!

We walked in off the street and gave it a try. It looked authentic, and I'm sure it was. We were in the mood for Sushi but while they had Sushi, it was primarily a Teppanyaki place. We had a table for two, away from the Teppanyaki tables - which did seem a success (and very, very loudly so :)... More
